Bund No.1 Hotel (Jichuanmen Ancient City Wall, Tingzhou)

As a tourist from Shanghai, I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the Changting Bund No. 1 Hotel! First, the hotel's location is incredibly convenient. It's right on the banks of the Tingjiang River, so you don't need to go out of your way to enjoy the fleeting sunset in the evening; a short walk is all it takes to capture the breathtaking view. Secondly, I loved the hotel's decor. The entire room exudes a nostalgic charm of old Shanghai, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect. The toilet features a rare smart bidet, giving it a familiar, homey feel. Furthermore, the receptionist was incredibly attentive, proactively upgrading my room for free. From my bed, I could see the majestic ancient city gate; waking up to a timeless atmosphere was pure bliss! The only downside was the lack of parking, but we were able to park at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital parking lot, just a few hundred meters away, and they reimbursed me for the 12 yuan fee. So, these minor flaws don't detract from the overall experience. I highly recommend this hotel; I give it 99% thumbs up!

The guesthouse is conveniently located right next to Jichuan Gate, making it easy to explore the ancient city. Unfortunately, there was excavator digging water pipes in front of the guesthouse, directly facing the upstairs rooms. The guesthouse proactively upgraded us to a family room on the side, free of charge. The room was comfortable and clean, with a charming decor. The view of the Jichuan Menting River at night from the top floor was fantastic! 👍 The staff were very friendly; when I couldn't find the car using the navigation, a lovely young lady from the guesthouse came out to help me. Highly recommended! 👍
