Absolutely stunning place in a perfect location just a short stroll along the sea front to the historic old town of Chania and the Venetian Harbour. In the other direction an even shorter stroll to the harbour and Nea Chora beach - which has a ton of bars shops and restaurants. Property is directly on the seafront in a real tranquil location - with a beautiful pool and incredible sea views everywhere you stood. The staff were fantastic and even contacted me on WhatsApp prior to my stay to arrange my check in. Had my room ready early - which was fabulous. I was incredibly lucky to have a suite with a hot tub right on the sea front - beautifully decorated, fresh, clean and the views from the balcony were incredible. I believe breakfast is included for all guests, which was lovely with a wide variety of hot and cold food drinks and pastries. The only criticism is of myself that I didn’t stay longer. I would come back in a heartbeat!

I would highly recommend this hotel! We had a wonderful stay with a breathtaking sea view. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, and everything was spotlessly clean and well organized. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The outdoor pool was beautiful and very clean. The hotel is within walking distance of the Old Town, close to everything, and if you’re renting a car, there’s convenient parking available. The breakfast was simple but absolutely delicious, and the overall quality of everything exceeded our expectations. The jacuzzi was also clean, relaxing, and very enjoyable. A huge thank you to Sofia, Maria, and Rafael for welcoming us with warm smiles and providing exceptional service throughout our stay. I highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed at Elia Sea Suites last week for 8 days. The hotel is in the perfect location as you can walk either way and be surrounded by beautiful bars and restaurants the old town is a lovely 10-15 minute costal walk to get to. The hotel itself has stunning views of the sea and you get the most spectacular sunsets. We were greeted with a warm welcome and when shown our room we were rather impressed. Our room had an inside hot tub overlooking the ocean. We made use of the hot tub in our room especially to watch the sunset, however it did have it’s downside with it being in the room as it would randomly start up during the night to get to temperature!!! We were fully aware that you could request for this to be switched off by reception but to be honest after the first couple of nights we became accustomed to it! After a couple of days of using the hot tub I noticed that it hadn’t been cleaned and it started to smell of stagnant water but as soon as this was pointed out to reception it was lovely and clean on our return from a day out. Housekeeping were brilliant, everyday we returned to a lovely clean room with fresh robes and towels provided and our water replenished. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and was available until 10:30. I would like to give a huge shout out to Eva as she was so lovely, warm and friendly. The outdoor pool is lovely, however the times available make no sense as it was only open from 11am-7pm although on one occasion it was allowed to stay open until 8pm for visiting guests from a sister hotel! It would make sense for it to be available to see the sunset as it was in the perfect location for it! The pool area was also too small and could only accommodate about a dozen guests, and the shade was also not adequate enough! We also had a problem with a group of what seemed local lads using the pool on the Saturday and totally ignored the reception staff when asked to leave! They only reluctantly left after a few hotel guests stood up to them and made them leave however 30 minutes later they returned mob handed but thankfully the hotel guests stood up to them once again and didn’t allow them entry! Maybe a fob system on the gate for guests only would stop this kind of thing happening. One little treasure the hotel should be really proud of is Rafel, he looked after everyone so well around the pool. His first day was on the day we arrived but you’d have thought he’d been there forever, he was so natural, warm and welcoming and had a great sense of humour! We wish him a great season. Even with everything said we had a fabulous time and as long as you are aware of the small issues I’ve pointed out I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and we would absolutely stay here again if we ever return to Chania

Do not stay here. My partner and I traveled from Boston to Crete expecting a relaxing vacation, but our stay at Elia Sea Suites was one disappointment after another. One of the primary reasons we booked this property was the outdoor private hot tub. We paid extra for this room specifically because of that amenity. Upon arrival, the hot tub was cold and had not been turned on, requiring over 8 hours to heat before it could be used. Later in the stay, the water became extremely murky, dark, and dirty. We notified management, but it took over a day for the issue to be addressed. Even after it was serviced, the hot tub was left turned off and again required many hours to heat. Ultimately, we were without a properly functioning hot tub for four of our six nights despite paying a premium for this room. To make matters worse, there was active construction taking place directly next door to the hotel. Loud construction noise began around 7:00 AM each morning. At no point before arrival or during check-in were we informed of this. Had we known, we would have chosen a different property. Housekeeping was also inconsistent. On multiple occasions, used towels were removed without fresh towels being provided, dirty towels were left behind, and bed linens were not changed. Additionally, both my partner and I woke up with numerous unexplained bug bites after sleeping in the bed during our stay. What was most disappointing, however, was management's response. After returning home, I spent weeks attempting to resolve these concerns directly with the hotel. Responses were slow, often requiring repeated follow-ups, and the process was unnecessarily difficult from start to finish. The hotel's initial offer was simply a 20% discount on a future stay in Chania. After I explained that I live in the United States and had no plans to return, they revised the offer to a €165 refund—approximately 10% of our reservation value. This did not even cover the additional amount paid for the hot tub room and was less than the cost of a single night's stay, despite the fact that one of the primary amenities we paid for was unusable for most of our trip. When I respectfully explained why I believed the compensation was inadequate, management ultimately stopped responding altogether. Problems can happen at any hotel. What matters is how those problems are handled. Between the undisclosed construction, the hot tub issues, the housekeeping concerns, and management's slow responses, inadequate compensation, and eventual refusal to communicate, we left feeling that guest satisfaction was far less important than collecting payment.

The view was amazing! The waves were right below our window and the sunset was beautiful! The room was clean and modern, with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was bountiful and delicious! Free parking on the street and very close to the old harbor and restaurants.
