Chaozhou Yunjing Boutique Stay (Chaoshan High-speed Railway Station)

This is probably the closest hotel to the high-speed train station. It's a good option if you have an early morning train or need a layover rest, especially since the train station is quite far from the city center. However, there were discrepancies between the hotel's photos and the actual room. The pictures showed a Western-style toilet, but it was actually a squat toilet – which I could manage. But the shower wasn't separated, and if the pictures had accurately reflected this, I wouldn't have booked. I really dislike it when the entire bathroom gets drenched after a shower.

Right off Shaxi Food Street, this is where your Chaoshan food adventure begins! The hotel is super close to Chaoshan Railway Station, and the staff even offer a thoughtful shuttle service there, making travel incredibly convenient.

This guesthouse was really great! The room was clean and spacious, and the bed was so comfortable. It offers excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in town. The hygiene was top-notch, the front desk staff were friendly, and the natural light and views were fantastic. It made getting around and settling in so easy.

Terrible service. I asked for an extra pillow, and after half an hour when it still hadn't arrived, I called again but they ignored me. I had to go down and get it myself. When I asked for two extra bottles of water, they said the policy was only one per person per day, which honestly, is the first time I've ever encountered that. This cost-cutting made me so wary that I didn't even dare to use their shampoo, shower gel, or any other toiletries, fearing they might be substandard. Even though it was cheap, I'd never stay at a hotel like this again.
