Crowne Plaza CHAOZHOU RIVERSIDE by IHG

The tallest building in Chaozhou! Even on a rainy day, I enjoyed an amazing view of Guangji Bridge from my room. The service was excellent; they provided a luggage cart for both check-in and check-out. The breakfast area had a beautiful ambiance. I loved looking out at the kapok trees and the river.

The hotel's location is very convenient, and the rooms are quite new. The services are generally good, but the soundproofing is poor, and there's still a strong smell of new renovation every time I enter the room.

They must not have much competition... The prices were ridiculous during Chinese New Year, and the facilities were just so-so. They only offered one free breakfast on one of the days, which felt a bit stingy. The breakfast also lacked small cakes, and the Western options were limited and poorly laid out (waffles and pancakes were in the most remote spot, while croissants and jam were right by the entrance). The croissants and pineapple buns displayed were very few in number, disappearing quickly. It took a long time for a second refill. The croissant baguettes were quite tasty though. The coffee was terrible.

The hotel facilities feel a bit dated, and the disposable toiletries, like toothbrushes, don't quite meet five-star hotel standards. The location is decent, and the staff's service attitude is good.

The hotel's facilities are great overall, and the service is excellent, with super prompt room service. It's the best hotel we've stayed at in the Chaoshan area. The room is spacious, and all the facilities are up to a luxurious five-star standard. The breakfast service is also very good, featuring local Chaoshan specialties like kway teow, congee cooked to order, and rice noodle rolls. Everything is made fresh on the spot – a real treat for the taste buds!

The room was great, and they even prepared a New Year's gift for us. The front desk staff was very enthusiastic and upgraded us to a deluxe river view room, where we could see Guangji Bridge. The room was spacious, and we could enjoy a bath with a river view. We even watched the light show directly from the hotel at night.
