HIlton Garden Inn Charleston Waterfront/Downtown

Was really tired beds  seemed to be hard not trying to complain but two nights at holiday inn bed was great

Room overlooked ALL the hvac units for the entire building, and we could hear each one running, starting, stopping (the noisiest bit) all night. Booking included breakfast, advertised and even has on the menus “buffet breakfast”… they don’t do that any more apparently. We got a choice of one item.

No one mentioned the cost of the garage upon my arrival. there is no way to park anywhere else nobody mentioned it when I asked about benefits of silver member I was told none but keep coming and you will get benefits Lying about the garage the best persons there were the waitresses at the restaurant will not go back

We requested a balcony with a water view. We received a room with the view of the drop off area. The only water we could see was the fountain in front of the building. Also our room had a handicap shower. So every time we showed the water splash all over the floor. Leaving us to wipe it up with a towel. Finally it was advertised as being downtown and within walking distance of the shops and restaurants. It took 40 minutes to walk to the center of the city.

Never again. The balcony door was broken. Came in late so i didnt contact desk bc its not like they coukd do anything even thou they said they may have and i was in no mood to be changing rooms after i was ready for bed. We stocked all out luggage next to the door just incase. The next day they changed my room (such and inconvenience) and it was not the cleanest.since i booked with ******* they wouldnt refund a night but offered me breakfast. (It was gross).apparently they wouldnt do anything if i booked thru them anyways bc i didnt report itbright away. Btw i got in after 2am.im a hilton honor member and lately have been very disappointed with the hotels. This is the last time i use ******* or hilton. Hope this reaches someone

The hotel was up to the usual Hilton standards. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Toni, the graveyard-shift front-desk person. Only two recommendations: Make parking and the morning breakfast “buffet” complimentary for guests.
