We stayed at the Edwin Hotel in March 2025. Overall, the hotel was great, but a few aspects of the experience let me down and leave me uncertain if I will return. Valet is the only parking option here. Service was fast, and I appreciate the link provided via text message to retrieve the vehicle. You don't have to download a mobile app. We had an electric car and they did not charge it. Maybe they don't have charging? Location is top notch. Less than five minutes to the bluff art district or to the riverwalk. Less than ten minutes to the aquarium and dozens of great restaurants in the downtown area. All this while being situated in a quiet part of the city with little noise and distraction. I am a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member, which is the reason for selecting this hotel. If it weren't a Marriott property, it would not have come across my radar and I would not have stayed here. At check-in I was provided two free drink tokens (more on that below), the choice of 1,000pts or a $10 food and beverage credit (the standard welcome gift for Platinum and higher status), and continental breakfast at White Bird or 750pts (offered because they don't have a lounge like Autograph Collection hotels are supposed to for Platinum and higher status). The free drink tokens are usable at White Bird or Whiskey Thief. We went to Whiskey Thief where they presented us a special menu with a few mixed drinks, wine, and beer to choose from (photo attached). We ordered additional drinks and food at Whiskey Thief during their happy hour, but didn't notice until leaving that they mischarged us for everything we purchased. Our fault for not paying attention, but how are happy hour price modifications not automated in their POS system? For breakfast at Whitebird, our included breakfast meant a selection from three different continental items each valued at $10 rather than selecting breakfast from the menu. We could not use the $10 value of the breakfast as a discount toward other items on the list. This breakfast "offering" was definitely the low point of the stay and the primary reason I'm not sure I'll return. There's no reason they couldn't provide us with a proper breakfast like Autograph Collection hotels are supposed to. I'd happily trade the silly drink tokens for a full breakfast.

We stayed recently at the Edwin Hotel Chattanooga. The hotel is within walking distance of much of the city’s restaurants, the River, and shopping. Clay is a valet at the Edwin and actually could be a tour guide. He is a native son of Chattanooga and gave recommendations for some of our favorite stops while we stayed in the city. We were very impressed with the helpful nature of the employees of the Edwin. They enhanced an already great experience in Chattanooga.

It is an artsy, elegant, tasteful hotel in a great location!! Rooms were spacious, clean, with everything placed just right, But the cream of the crop were the young valet service assistants!! We had various young people as valet and each one of them was extremely thoughtful, kind, generous with time, resourceful, and helpful! Many thanks to Donoly and Chris who have us ideas of where the local hangouts were and where to find the best ice-cream! When you have kids, you need people who know the place experimentally because they call it home. We are so grateful for y'all!

Loved this hotel. We stayed for two nights on our way from Florida to Cincinnati. It’s in a great location on the edge of the Bluff View Art District and on the Tennessee River. The rooms and public spaces display contemporary art and it’s like being in a museum or a gallery. There’s a cafe (Provisions), a rooftop bar (Whiskey Thief), and a high end restaurant (Whitebird). We didn’t eat at the cafe but we did go to the rooftop bar twice and we had dinner at Whitebird, both experiences were excellent. The Whiskey Thief rooftop bar overlooks the Walnut St Pedestrian bridge, which recently closed for 18 months for renovations. We loved sitting outside on the Whiskey Thief terrace in the evening and enjoying a cocktail and the view. We also had dinner there—they have a limited menu including burgers and salads and charcuterie—since we arrived late and they’re open late. If you’re into whiskey, they have many to choose from. The Whitebread (entrees in the $30-plus range) is a great spot for dinner. Wednesday nights you get half off a bottle a wine. The Edwin has bikes available for free to guests. We had our own bikes and road along the Riverpark, a paved greenway, from the Bluff View Art District to the Chicamauga Dam. It was a flat, mostly scenic 16-mile round trip ride. Stop at the Bluff View Sculpture Garden on the way (just a quarter mile or so from the hotel). It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot. Other things we did while in Chattanooga included walking one and half miles to Niedlov’s Cafe and Bakery (excellent pastries and avocado toast) with a stop at the Chattanooga choo choo; visiting the Chicamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, exhibits detailing two Civil War battles Chicamauga and Lookout Point as well as amazing views of the river and the city (there are lots of walking trails in the park which we didn’t have time to do); and having breakfast at the patio of Rembrandt’s a coffee shop located a five-minute walk from the hotel. If we had more time, I would have loved to have visited the Hunter Museum of American Art, which is located steps from the hotel, and we would have allocated more than just an hour and a half for the military park. The Edwin was a little more expensive than other Marriott options in the city but the added cost was well worth it. You can valet park your car for $34 dollars a day. Street parking (free at night) and a public garage are also nearby but we selected valet parking since we had our bikes and a full car (the service was excellent).

The Edwin is always a special treat. The staff are always courteous, helpful and kind. The rooftop bar is a must with its expansive views and wonderful cocktails. It is in a very convenient location that it is in walking distance to many things.

We came up for our anniversary. Everything from check in with Aldrin to Whitebird for dinner with Taylor and host treating us like VIP guests. Pigeon was a great barista in the AM in Provisions. Friendly and personable. We definitely will be back. The hotel is in the perfect spot for walking the art district, grabbing a bite to eat, or sitting out on the patio for a drink. And the place smells amazing! Loved the art and quirky furniture in the public spaces. We felt welcomed and enjoyed the atmosphere. We will be back, and encourage others to try the hotel too!

I highly recommend a stay. The staff is amazing! Jessica and Sunny gets you checked in with all your needs taken care of. Carlos and the other valet with dread locs keeps your vehicle well taken care of. The bed is comfortable, the room is cozy, the gym is high tech, the pool is heated, and all three restaurants provide delicious food and drinks. Definitely excellent on all levels.
