My husband and I stayed at the lovely Martin House in a large clean room with a desk and two comfortable chairs. The bathroom was large as well and well equipped. Upon booking, we expected to have breakfast in the Maclellan House across the street. When checking in at the Maclellan House, we saw tables set and what appeared to be set ups for a breakfast on a large dining table. Much to our surprise, we were given breakfast vouchers for a coffee house around the corner. We had 4 choices for breakfast and one cup of either coffee or hot tea. Getting breakfast required standing in line to order at the coffee house. We had to sit outside with barking dogs, and the food was delivered to our table. Fortunately it was a nice warm day. When checking out, we were told that there were not enough guests in the houses to serve breakfast in the Maclellan house. For what we paid for the B&B, not serving breakfast as expected was very disappointing. We will not return to the property or recommend it to our friends.

This B&B experience was extremely disappointing. It was meant to be a birthday surprise for my husband, and it was clearly a surprise to pay $350 for what was suppose to be their best room. We frequent many B&Bs, and this was clearly the worst yet. We received a voucher for a cafe across the street. We could order coffee or tea and a breakfast sandwich with a choice of bread and cheese. Really? We love B&Bs, and we always anticipate who we will meet at breakfast sharing our stories and enjoying a beautiful breakfast. That's what makes a B&B a wonderful B&B! The mattress was horrible. The bathroom wasn't the least bit inviting with minimal essentials. The hairdryer didn't function properly either. I was taken back by the owners reaction to good reviews. It's hardly good business acumen when the owner doesn't respond to a poor review. We left very early in the morning. It wasn't pleasant, and no one seemed to care that we were guests. We would never recommend this place nor would we return. The only nice thing we can say is there was a good view of the river. This was a room rental. It is not a B&B.

A little Utopia exists here full of quaint gorgeous buildings. This was the perfect hotel traveling with toddlers across the country. The blocks owned by this family are very safe for walking and families and absolutely interesting & gorgeous. We really enjoyed our after dinner stroll through all the blocks & nooks and crannies and alley ways and the beautiful short walk adjacent to the Hunter Museum on way to the Walnut Pedestrian Bridge. I’m usually very nervous with toddlers & bridges but this was so safe and charming on a Friday night about 10pm. We saw lots of families and ice cream and fireworks from the stadium. There was no trash on the streets of downtown Chattanooga or homeless or smokers blowing smoke in our face. That was very nice. I was so impressed with Chattanooga. We booked the Morgan Suite in the main house as I’m a terribly light sleeper and I hoped the top floor and quiet street would be quiet and it was. I loved that they supplied a small fan in the closet. I plugged it in case I heard any street noise yet I didn’t hear anything all night. Hotel room is huge and my toddlers loved the large living room and balcony facing the river and the bedroom. I liked that it had a door to close and shut off. I slept so great here and the closet was huge my toddlers tried to sleep in there playing house which was too funny. Bathroom was nice and all the decor was so quaint and I loved the paint color in all the rooms. I was so surprised by all the previous reviews complaining about piddly stuff in my opinion. If I were staying at a mainstream hotel this size room and quality with separate living quarters would be $$$$. I was very pleased to pay $300 for this room. The same room at a Hilton would be $900 and also the Ritz would be $2000. I definitely think people picking on weird small stuff in thier reviews thought they were paying $2000 to stay at a Ritz. My toddlers even loved the bathroom in the lobby as there were two cozy chairs there for them to sit and wait on me. The main reason we booked this on the weekend was the breakfast buffet on the weekends. We were the first there at 8am and the eggs, sausage & yogurt were so good. The nice lady working the buffet helped me and my toddlers get drinks often OJ & water and coffee and she helped us get whatever we wanted. We left a $20 tip she was so helpful and made our breakfast so nice. She even let us refreeze our freezer packs for our cooler in the freezer in the kitchen. My husband said the biscuits were the best he has eaten in a long time and the scones and muffins were fantastic we had to take one for the road. I’m gluten free and I was surprised when I asked the keeper went to the bakery across the street to get me 3 gluten free muffins. They were so delicious and a pleasant surprise as I’m used to going without so many times. I will stay here again next year on our yearly voyage to a summer house. I wish all the towns were as nice and gorgeous as Chattanooga. Also it was ver

We were in town to visit friends before heading off on our anniversary trip. We loved our stay here. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area. The bed was comfortable and our room was lovely. The breakfasts were delicious! Would definitely recommend a stay!

Our stay here for two nights was exceptional! We were in the Maclellan House, the Bryan Room and it is huge! Sofa, chairs and a fireplace. There are wonderful views of the river both north and south. The house was extremely clean and in great shape and is located in a wonderful part of town next the art museum. Breakfast is served as pick up downstairs from Rembrandt's Coffee House across the street. The dining room area worked well, some additional plates, etc. at breakfast might be nice. The property consists of three different houses and we really liked this one. Highly recommended!

This is our favorite getaway spot. In addition to a lovely place to stay, there is great food, the art scene, bicycles to rent on the Riverwalk, and the fabulous downtown Chattanooga. We have gone in all 4 seasons, and we have always felt well taken care of.

I pretty much exclusively stay at B&Bs and historic inns. Bluff View Inn easily makes my top three stays ever. The accomodations were lovely. I stayed at the Martin House in the Anna Houston room. It was a large, corner room with lots of windows and natural light. The bathroom was roomy, clean, and had lots of hot water. The gas fireplace was the absolute best on chilly nights. Fresh ice, water, and sodas were always available. The parking lot was incredibly convenient located right outside the house. Breakfast vouchers were provided for a cafe/bakery right around the corner. The food and drinks were great, but be prepared to wait in long lines.

This a great place to stay in B& style. It is located walking distance tothe downtown area and the waterfront. I have stayed there int he past and was delighted to see that they survived the covid pandemic. This B&B has several homes on the site in the Art District which are adjacent to each other. I have stayed n two of them and they were very comfortable. The staff couldn't be better.
