This hotel came recommended by friends, who were quite satisfied with their stay. Its location is excellent, right in the city center, which is very convenient. Naturally, there are plenty of dining options nearby, creating a lively, bustling atmosphere. However, this also means the surroundings can be quite noisy. Even in the dead of night, the area downstairs remained brightly lit and packed with diners.
While the summer prices were acceptable, we noticed a significant number of tour groups staying here. They often checked in late at night, causing a lot of noise. The hotel's facilities are quite basic. There's only one small elevator, and with so many guests, it felt incredibly cramped and inconvenient to use. The hallway carpets were also quite dirty, suggesting heavy foot traffic and significant wear and tear.
The in-room facilities were also just mediocre. The bed was reasonably comfortable, but our standard room lacked a proper desk, making it inconvenient for any work. The sink was so awkwardly designed that I kept hitting my head every time I bent down to wash my face. I understand that hotel competition is fierce these days, making smart toilets a standard feature. However, if you're going to include them, at least opt for some decent domestic brands. This toilet flushed with a huge noise, and water would splash out onto the floor. Plus, you had to bend down to find the flush button. We literally had to jump back before flushing! Both of our rooms had the exact same issue with the toilets.
Finally, our outward-facing room: it rained, and to our surprise, the ceiling leaked, and the paint was peeling off the walls. The hotel really needs to pay more attention to the quality of its basic facilities instead of just focusing on flashy, perhaps unnecessary, smart toilet upgrades.
On a positive note, the cleaning lady who serviced our room deserves high praise. She worked incredibly hard and had a wonderful attitude. My son accidentally left his Kindle under the pillow, and the cleaning lady found it and personally brought it back to us. Many thanks!
