Absolutely wonderful! I specifically sought out a place to stay in one of Chengdu's 'hutongs' (alleys), and it certainly lived up to expectations! It's small, but the atmosphere is fantastic! The service was also very attentive! Next time friends visit Chengdu, I'll definitely recommend they stay here!

We enjoyed the position, right next to people park and very convenient t for metro. The room we booked has a beautiful terrace with plants. Very nice spaces inside, including a small study area. Service has always been readily available and room was really clean!

Booked this with an overseas friend. It's more like a guesthouse, which was fine overall. In the evenings, the hotel even provides a wooden foot bath and foot soak packets. The location is also convenient.

Everything is great except our room has a slight cigarette smell. But overall still a very enjoyable stay, they have a very nice courtyard with free afternoon tea for our stay as well.

The Hidden House meets my top 3 criteria when traveling abroad. Clean, quiet, and centrally located. The establishment creates a zen environment with a bubbling pond, tea fragrance in common areas, and classic decor. The rooms are adequately spacious. Lighting is bright and modern. The bathroom includes a very modern toilet with washlet similar to Toto’s. Breakfast is served in a traditional courtyard. The rooms are very quiet with good ventilation. The subway is just a few minutes walk away. Two of Chengdu’s top attractions are literally across the street: Kuanzhai Alley 宽窄巷 and People’s Park 人民公园。
