The hotel's location, facilities, and amenities are good. It's a convenient choice if you're looking for easy access to the metro, food options, and public transportation.
However, there are a few areas that need improvement:
- **Poor soundproofing** – Light sleepers may struggle here. Footsteps and conversations in the corridor can be heard quite clearly. Management mentioned plans to improve this in reviews from 2024, but the issue still exists in 2026.
- **Bathroom odor** – While the shower facilities and toiletries are good, there was occasionally a subtle sewage smell in the bathroom.
- **Laundry service** – Guests must start the washing cycle themselves and inform the front desk when it finishes so staff can switch the machine to the drying cycle.
During our 9-night stay, we used the laundry service four times. The first two experiences were smooth, but the last two were disappointing. Despite informing the front desk, our clothes were left wet and developed an unpleasant smell. I raised the issue before the next wash, but it happened again.
Since we usually did our laundry before heading out for the day, we often returned late at night only to find it had not been completed and had to deal with it ourselves. I raised this issue during checkout and received an apology, but no further action was offered.
Overall, this was a genuine experience from our stay in Chengdu. I'm not trying to blame anyone—only hoping the hotel can improve, as the laundry issue significantly affected an otherwise pleasant stay.
