This homestay style accommodation is located in a very nice part of Chennai with some lovely green cover. The ethos of the founder Hanu Reddy can be felt throughout the property with wise and inspirational quotes on display. Close to the city everywhere can be accessed easily from this location. The room was clean had good A/C and had a microwave, kettle and kitchen sink which I've not come across in other similar accommodation before. This would be useful for longer stays. The food at the restaurant was tasty and had a reasonable range of options to suit most tastes. I had a pleasant experience and really loved the surrounding suburbs. The site has a lot of facilities including a restaurant, gym and tennis court. Surprisingly the whole property is quiet for the location. The day staff Ajay took good care of me and organised transport at very reasonable rates compared with some hotels that are performing a sort of theft from guests. The only hiccup was the evening staff on the night I left seemed a bit junior and had trouble getting me a taxi for my flight to the airport on time and ordered a taxi so small that it did not fit my luggage very well so that was a bit disappointing. Overall good value for this style of stay. I would recommend staying here again and will be back in the future.

Ms Avira is very professional and ensured we has a lovely stay. Ajay Behera and Pradeep in the kitchen have been very hospitable and kind. The stay is clean and green and the place has a very positive feedback!

Hanu Reddy Residences is truly a hidden gem in Chennai. A peaceful retreat while still being in the heart of the city. The hospitality was outstanding, with every member of the team being warm and courteous. As usual it was a great stay, the rooms were clean, the food great and the staff courteous. A big shout out to for Ms.Avira upgrading our room. It was like a second home. I have been staying here from 2015. Will recommend highly for people traveling to Chennai.

had a wonderful stay at Hanu Reddy Poes Garden . It was safe, comfortable and good accommodations. I stayed here for almost 8 months on and off. The staff is extremely friendly , catering to all my needs. Special thanks to Avira, Ajay, Rajesh and chef Prakash. A huge thanks to Nirupama for making my stay a pleasant one . This place felt like home away from home. The people working here have become like my extended family. Food is amazing and customized to our requirements. The atmosphere is peaceful, quiet location in the center of town. Thank you Hanu Reddy for the wonderful stay. I will be back here next time

The Serenity and tranquility of the place has always attracted me and that is the Reason I stay here , whenever I come to Chennai for last 15 years The Best part is the Customer service and cleanliness of the entire property Rooms could be a little larger with better amenities

Reasonably located, this hotel was otherwise rather ordinary for the price (about £40/night). The room was clean but small and not a room where you would wish to spend much time.

Stayed at Hanu Reddy Residency (Poes Garden, Chennai) recently. Sharing a genuine, review: Overpriced for what’s offered – Room No. 5 was especially underwhelming in size and value. Photos vs Reality – What you see online isn’t what you get. Ambiance mismatch. Breakfast wins – Dosa and filter coffee were exceptional. Truly the highlight. Service courtesy – Staff were polite, responsive, and warm. No complaints there. This isn’t a rant. Just a log for fellow travelers who value ambiance, scale, and rhythm. Wouldn’t recommend for style escapes—but breakfast and staff do deserve a nod. #ChennaiStay #RaMa

Absolutely unsafe for women. For the second time - somebody entered the room at ‘9:23AM’ - like literally walked in when I was in the shower. There is only one way to lock the room which is openable by key and I opened the bathroom door to find 3 men outside saying oh we weren’t aware that this room was assigned and that we came to clean. This is the second time this incident has happened which means they don’t even take feedback properly. Last time I thought it’s a honest mistake and let it go. No amount of ‘I am sorry’ is going to cut it when it such a violation of a privacy of a woman. It’s just not worth the risk.

Ashok, Ajay, Kishore, Desmond, Martin, and Sudhanshu were all friendly, attentive, and helpful, consistently going out of their way to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced the experience, making us feel welcomed and cared for at every interaction. Dining Experience Dining at Pushpa’s Kitchen was another highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there, appreciating the quality and variety of the meals served. The breakfast buffet offered a delicious spread including traditional Tamil & Continental dishes. The dinner was equally satisfying, served in a charming setting that complemented the overall ambiance of the residence. It would have great if tiffin items could have been included for dinner. We were delighted to return for a second visit to this beautiful calm sanctuary in the heart of Chennai. You could literally be in the centre of the country side, it’s so quiet and surrounded by stunning trees. The buildings are so lovely with real character. The roof garden is a perfect place to sit and relax in serenity. What makes this place even more special is the fantastic, friendly and helpful staff team.

Hanu Reddy staff were helpful, attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and good value for money. The location was quiet and getting around was easy via tuk tuk. The room was spacious and well laid out. The only down side was poor WiFi. Thoroughly recommend this place.
