Rivers Edge Motel

Great! Both Maria and Wendy were amazing and helpful. My family and I enjoyed our stay, the view was gorgeous. We will definitely be back soon 👍

I have already posted my review several times but obviously they are screened and nothing negative is posted. I eventually contacted the BBB and the owner and mgr continued to refuse to discuss my complaint. Once they get the money, they could care less about customer service.

Not a desirable location, everything around was vacant, people sleeping in tents around the hotel. As you can see in the pictures I have attached. Would not refund my money. I book at The Stonebrook Lodge where it was a much nicer location. I do not recommend

Highly recommend this Motel. It's clean, updated, right on the river, you get to watch people tubing, fishing, listen to the creek. Private balconies. I would stay here again for sure. The only bad part is parking is right on the main road.

Such a great place to stay. On the river balcony was so relaxing and enjoyable. One thing I missed was not having a microwave in the room. For the money I paid per night a microwave should have been there. There is a microwave in the lobby during day hours. Not the same. But I'd sure stay there again. Rocking chairs on the balcony and we were set!

Perfect location. A little stuffy the room but a little personal fan took care of that. Room was very clean as well as the bathroom. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching folks tube down the river. Lots of geese and ducks playing in the water. Highly recommend.

This was, I believe, my 5th stay at River's Edge, and it definitely won't be my last. It is the cleanest place I've ever stayed in, hands down. The location overlooking the river can't be beat, either. We love to spend time out on the balcony watching the ducks and geese, and on the last two trips we've seen an otter. Even though it's on one of the main roads through town, it's very quiet here, too. We've never had problems with either road noise nor noisy neighbors. It's within walking distance to several places to eat, and to a convenience store, which is great. Yes, there are some vacant buildings around it, but I have never felt unsafe on any of my stays here. If you are looking for a clean, quiet place to stay with a beautiful view, book with River's Edge, and you won't be disappointed.

I loved this motel located in Cherokee. It is close to the Smoky Mountains and not far to Bryson City. We had a group of 10 and booked various rooms downstairs. I called and spoke with Patti several times asking questions and making changes. She was great to work with. Parking is at the edge of the road, but also at your doorway. I only heard traffic if a load motorcycle or vehicle went by. We used a sound spa that blocked out most noise. I only heard someone in the room above us one night and it wasn’t bad. The rooms have all been renovated and were very clean. The shower was hot with good water pressure. We had a nice balcony overlooking the river. The ice and microwave are located in the office. The office is open from 9am-9pm. My rating is 4.5 as I would like to use a microwave at 4-5am before I head out to hike.

We loved the simplicity & hospitality of the hotel a few years ago - enjoying the river from our balcony was wonderful. We were hoping it fared well in Helene and are relieved it was spared from devastation. The museum was memorable. Hope to return soon.
