Hilton Garden Inn Chesterton

The room was outdated and it was in the basement by the pool. The smell of chlorine was overwhelming and the heater in the room made really loud noise which made it hard to sleep.

The room is very clean, and the bed is very comfy. We ate at the restaurant as well, and the food and staff were great!

Amazing! Very clean, comfortable and great service for the reasonable price. Hotel bar food and drinks were good and the staff was very friendly!

The hotel was beautiful and new. The issue was that we stayed 3 nights and our room was NEVER cleaned. We had to call the front desk and ask for towels and I emptied the garbage myself and had to ask for them to take it. All the old towels stayed in our bathroom.

The service was good as in staff was very friendly. The Hotel and the room I stayed in was very clean and well organized. The bed itself was uncomfortable in my wife and I opinion but we also do have a very comfortable mattress at home and are used to sleeping on a higher quality mattress. I did expect Hilton to have a little higher quality mattress however. My main complaint is breakfast was not included in the price of the room. I rented a jr suite room for the extra room and comfort because my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. My opinion is seeing I had already paid extra for a better room the LEAST Hilton could have done was include breakfast. Holiday Inn Express or Best Western automatically includes breakfast when you rent a room from them which is where my wife and I usually stay. But seeing this was our wedding anniversary I figured I’d try Hilton which is supposed to be a more pleasant Hotel to stay at? When I found out we had to pay extra for breakfast when we already spent more money for a nicer hotel and paid extra for a nicer room, I felt having to pay even more for breakfast was quite rude. I HIGHLY doubt that I will stay at a Hilton again. I’ll stick with hotels that don’t have a problem with spoiling their paying customers.

I found the staff personable, professional, and willing to answer my immediate questions.

Property was nice but very disappointed in our room. There was quite a bit of water damage on our ceiling with some areas peeling. Also the pull down shade was not installed correctly so we were unable to put it all the way down. In addition, check in time was listed as 3:00 pm. We arrived at 5:00 pm and our room was not ready yet. This was not what we expected for a Hilton hotel.

We chose this hotel because it had a pool and laundry facilities, and neither were working when we were there so that was a bit of a disappointment. We were doing a lot of hiking, so a pool/hot tub at the end of the day would have been nice. Also, we needed to do some laundry and couldn't do that because the washing machine was broken. I can understand one thing, but both made it very frustrating.

From the moment we arrived after a 3.5 hour ride with pets, we were welcomed by a Super friendly Front desk Agent. She got us checked in quickly and let us go put in a quick food order from The restaurant before the kitchen shut down . The food was excellent and the bartender/server took care of us. The location and closeness to the dunes made the hotel The best solution for us . Everyone we came in contact with was extremely helpful ! We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back .
