Grand Hotel Admiral Palace

The hotel was in a good location, music can be heard from your room of live music that was playing in the lounge area and you can hear all movements from other rooms. The breakfast is poor not even fresh orange juice is served, rooms need renovation and a deep clean is needed.

We stayed here on a Road Scholar tour. The room too hot, and the A/C was turned off in the winter. The breakfast was rather poor and the group dinners were not good, but the dinners we purchased from the restaurant were good. Our room had poor internet coverage, which limited the TV service. I liked the pillows. The hotel has a rather isolated location.

We stayed one night at what looked like a decent hotel on a hill. What a disappointment! The beds were ok and the room had decent AC, but the shower.. felt like you were standing in a coffin! No room to turn around in! And the food was more than disappointing. The measly piece of dried out meat atop 4 roasted potatoes was horrific. We asked for more bread - the waiter left and never returned! Would not recommend.

We went to the hotel for New Year’s Eve from the 30th of December to the 2nd of January. Previous to our arrival I had booked two massages at 7pm the day of our arrival. There was so much traffic that we were sure we would miss our appointments. However, we just made it so we hurried down to the spa. I want expecting a very good massage, it was the end of the day and I expected the masseurs to be exhausted. To my surprise, I had one of the best massages of my life! I’ve had plenty of massages and normally those included in packages are less than stellar. Elena made all my anxiety disappear and I was just melting on the table. It was so good, I recommend going just to get another massage from Elena! My husband’s massage was par for the course, weak and routine. Our friends said that their massages were equal to that of my husband’s; I had been really lucky to find Elena for my massage in the Four Roses spa downstairs in the hotel. After that, we enjoyed a nice dinner even though the hotel was packed with guests. After dinner, we enjoyed music and dancing. When we tucked into bed, the bed was soft and the pillows were well above average! Our suite had two bathrooms and that was a real plus. One had a large bathtub with jets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the New Year’s Eve festivities, the lovely breakfasts and the hotel itself. It is obviously an established hotel and it is apparent that it is experiencing focused updates to its decor and amenities. I wish them continued success and hope to return -especially for another massage from Elena!!

Good luck to take a shower. It's inside bathtub and not stationary. Air-conditioning is not available.
