Azalea Village

This was a lovely upscale little property--well-designed huts, garden, pool, open-air main hall and a good view of the main mountain. Very, very quiet. The young girls on the staff were eager to help, if not always able, and Nun, the bartender, made the most incredible cocktails I've ever had in my life. He serves half-a-dozen standard drinks (screwdriver, mojito, etc.) but the ingredients and mixing were really exquisite. My only complaints were with the location, which was close to the town rather than the mountain and entailed renting a bike (roads not biker friendly) or a songthaew (uncomfortable negotiations with drivers) to get out to the main attractions. Also, I wish there had been a masseuse on hand or on call. And the food really needs improvement! The breakfast was poor and the half-dozen dinner dishes only fair. A good chef and a masseuse would really elevate a place that already has a lot of potential.

We arrived from Chiangmai and stayed 2 nights here to access the national park. The manager, Nok and her team provided excellent service. Nok even gave us an introduction to star gazing on the clear night and it was beautiful. They grow their own vegetables & fruits in their compound.

Travel from Chiang Mai To travel to Ang Khan On the way, stop by Tham Luang Chiang Dao, the weather and people here are very charming. Visit the tree house on the way and going up to the top of Khao Luang, it is very beautiful. I want to have more time from 24 hours a day. Get off from Doi Luang and start hungry. Hungry is not shy to stop by A famous restaurant of Chiang Dao,Alaska Crab is very delicious. Start looking for accommodation Surf in Google, I found a resort named the same as Thong Shop. Take this one, convenient to travel. Aroma Resort Chiang Dao, when turning in and parked. Very nice receptionist. Beaming, the price is lovely, agreed, we got a room in the back zone. The younger staff took him to The room is the type I want. When I open the door, I'm right. Sleep well, the weather is so cool that you don't have to turn on the air conditioner to wake up. We stayed here for two nights and loved it. Guest cottages are tastefully scattered in lush tropical grounds. Some even have balconies over the water. If you want to get away from it all this is the right place. You will hear nothing but bird calls and the sound of the stream that runs through the property. There is a lovely swimming pool here and bikes are available free of charge. We spent a very enjoyable day exploring this beautiful area by bike and visiting Chiang Dao Cave. The on-site restaurant offers tasty food and the staff here are amazing and so helpful. They really go out of their way. Even picking guests up and dropping them back into town. I would highly recommend this resort.

We found this place via booking.com we went there without booking and asked if there was a room free. The owner gave us a price that was higher than the price for booking. When I pointed out that, we were completely wrong and had to compare apples with apples according to him. When I showed him the price via booking, we learned that this was a standard room (and that while all the houses are actually identical, that was so stupid) when I said that this was OK, we still got a chalet. That started well ... when I told him he had a good score on tripadvisor. He told me he never looked at that site because it's all crazy. And everyone can set what they want ... strange that he never looks at that site but gives a reaction to the post below. We found this man quite a strange bird sometimes very friendly and then suddenly he was very nor. I don't know why it was ...the story of the pony in the restaurant is just a fact. But we're in Thailand there are worse things than a pony that sniffs through the restaurant. This man is taking a walk with the truth, and staff are staff that you see how he deals with those people, but the chalet is all right on it and with a swimming pool he was cleaning for us again.

Excellent stay in this beautifully situated hotel: surrounded by fields and paddy fields, and with a great view over Doi Chiang Dao. There are 2 parts to the hotel: the original area with reception, restaurant and individual bungalows, and a newer block, 2 minutes walk away, across the paddy fields via a raised walkway, also with a pool. Our personal preference was the newer block: very spacious room, very clean and well appointed, with great bathroom, shower and loo area. Lovely balcony, overlooking the mountain. Incredibly peaceful! We absolutely loved it. The staff were very friendly and helpful, some speaking fluent English, others with hardly any. We had a meal in the evening, was absolutely fine; honest Thai food. Breakfast was basic but sufficient. We really liked this place and it's situation. Thank you Buraphat!
