Reviews of Singha Montra Lanna Boutique Style Hotel

The hotel was exactly as shown, if not better in real life. So much care and attention to detail, staff very friendly and responsive. Would have gone in the pool as very clean and beautiful, but had missed the sunshine on it so it was on the shade but a lovely addition. Breakfast choice was exceptional, and the open snack bar and hot & cold drinks was a lovely touch. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend to fellow travellers.

The hotel is rustic and has great character. True it is not sparkling brand new, but we did not leave with anything to complain about. It had everything we were looking for and more. My wife was very pleased with my surprise trip and hotel choice. The staff, at your request, will even fill up the jacuzzi for you in advance of your arrival back to the hotel each day, making for a very relaxing way to end each day. The breakfast also had great quality food and variety, even cooking things fresh at our request.

I personally enjoyed my time at this hotel. It looked a bit old, but overall it was quite nice. I booked jacuzzi suite, stay in room 609. No complains really. Love how the room is super big, the jacuzzi in the room is super relaxing(fits like 4 ppl!!) and the bed is really huge. I think it’d be perfect for the family also.

The room is large and full of Thai flavor. The management and service staff are very kind and the service attitude is also very good. The location is good. It takes 10 minutes to walk to the ancient city. It is leisurely and comfortable along the way. There are many authentic shops and Internet celebrity check-in spots nearby. There are also 7-11 and Lotus Supermarket. Chiang Mai is very leisurely and the hotels here are also small and exquisite, which is very good.

There are bugs and the bathtub is dirty

Booking on Ctrip is so confusing. The pictures of this hotel are very different from the actual ones. The pictures are very beautiful, but the actual rooms are very old and the lights are very dim. We have a 3-year-old child in our family, and as soon as we entered the hotel, the child did not dare to stay. We looked at it At first glance, we were not satisfied, and the platform told us that the booked room was non-refundable, and there was no way that children could not stay there. We had no choice but to leave with two big boxes. It was really bad for our senses when we just got off the plane and arrived at the hotel. I will never book a hotel room on Ctrip again. I wonder if Ctrip will block my comments. Such an obvious money grab will make my trip unpleasant.

The location was excellent — just a short walk to the Old Town. There was also a very convenient 7-Eleven right nearby. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful with everything. The bed was comfortable, and the jacuzzi was honestly one of the best features I’ve ever had in a hotel. Breakfast was fairly basic, but it had everything I wanted.

Beautiful hotel, very authentic. About 10 minutes drive from the Night Bazzar Markets. We had the Lanna jacuzzi room for a 1 night stay. Everything started out OK, room size really big, bathroom also a fair size. The safety deposit box worked well and was a decent size. Staff are lovely and helpful. Has a lift in the hotel and wifi. Negatives - No hot water, had to call reception at 10pm at night, shower head broken wouldn’t stay up, no working TV, no hot water next day for shower.

I can imagine this hotel used to be something special. The decor is beautiful and there is ornate details everywhere. The room was huge and very unique. We had the Sky Suite and our bathroom was open aired which was a little quirky. I would NOT stay here if it’s your first time in Chiang Mai. The surrounding streets leave a lot to be desired and you need a ride to get anywhere. This was nice for us as a couple who wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of town for a night. This place needs a power washing and a deep clean. My husband said the building itself looks like it has cancer 😅 we had a private hot tub which was awesome but the knob broke off and we couldn’t turn the water off and had to call maintenance - romantic! Don’t bother with the hotel breakfast- not good.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Singa Lanna Boutique Style Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly attentive and so lovely. They were always smiling and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was as welcoming and comfortable as possible. The room was absolutely incredible, with a charming and authentic boutique feel that created a relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. A standout feature was the jacuzzi in the room—a luxurious touch that made our stay even more special. The bi-folding windows that opened up to reveal stunning views of Chiang Mai made soaking in the jacuzzi a truly serene experience. Overall, we had a lovely stay with no complaints at all. Full compliments to the staff, who are an absolute credit to the hotel. Their warmth and dedication made our visit unforgettable. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay! The room was massive and the hotel staff were so lovely. Espically dallon, she was always very helpful. We got upgraded which was a nice surprise. The amenities and spa were amazing. It has a very Lanna vibe. The pool was nice to relax in. Highly recommend! Matthew & Tabatha

Unfortunately there was a lot not to like Overall darkness and uncleanliness. Seemed like the dust had been there for decades. Fridge didn’t work well Aircon didn’t work well due to the open gaps above the doors Bathroom dirty. Beautiful size spa but it was not clean to use. Whole place needs a deep clean and some maintenance to the gaps to ensure the aircon works properly. We only stayed the 1night of our 4 night booking due to being unable to breathe great and tasting dust all night.
