Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort - A Vegan Retreat

The staff were incredibly friendly, and the environment was very comfortable and relaxing. A minor drawback is that the soundproofing isn't great; you can faintly hear people walking next door and conversations in the hallway outside. The breakfast was a delicious vegetarian light meal!

I really enjoyed my stay at Away Chiang Mai Thapae Resort - A Vegan Retreat. The biggest highlight is its excellent location, very close to Tha Phae Gate and other major attractions. It's super convenient for exploring the Old City and the walking street market. Getting around is easy; Grab rides are affordable. There are also plenty of restaurants and cafes around the hotel. The hotel's atmosphere is quiet, private, and feels very safe. Although the entrance is a bit deep into an alley, it actually contributes to a restful stay, free from outside disturbances. The hotel itself is clean, lush, and has green spaces that make for a relaxing experience throughout your visit. Overall, it's a place in Chiang Mai I'd love to return to. It's perfect for those who want to explore the Old City and also for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city.

This was the hotel my kids were most excited about. When I booked, I saw that children weren't allowed on the ground floor with pool access, so I had to book two rooms. I was worried they'd make a big deal about the kids not being allowed on the first floor at check-in, but they didn't at all, and they even welcomed the little ones! The kids had a blast in the pool, totally worth the price. The afternoon tea desserts, honestly, weren't really anything edible. I thought there would be mini cakes or something, but it was just self-serve dried pumpkin and dried banana 😂. However, the hotel's location is excellent, very close to the old town with plenty of food and shopping nearby. The only thing I couldn't quite get used to was the breakfast at this vegetarian hotel – no eggs, surprisingly, haha. Oh, and by the way, the packaged snacks next to the bottled water aren't complimentary; they charged for them at checkout!

Stayed for 4 nights in a swim-up room, and it was great. The bed was huge, easily accommodating our family of three with plenty of space. Taxis are available right outside, making it convenient to get anywhere. However, the breakfast was truly terrible! On the upside, the service staff were all very friendly.

Great location, within a 5-minute walk to the old city and Tha Phae Gate. The room was very spacious. The hotel's catering is entirely vegetarian, which is quite unique. There are two swimming pools, one of which is heated.

This is my second time in Chiang Mai, and I chose this hotel again. This time, they've built a new wing, which has a slightly different style from the old one. The rooms in the new building are newer and offer more privacy. I had only booked one night in the new wing and the rest in the old one, but the front desk upgraded me to the new wing for all my nights. Every staff member was very nice. I'll definitely choose to stay here again the next time I visit Chiang Mai.

The location is excellent, very close to Tha Phae Gate, and the street next to it is bustling with activity, including massage shops right outside. It's a vegetarian hotel with a delicious breakfast. However, while it's nice overall, it's not as spacious as a typical resort.

This time, I stayed in the new building, and the location is much quieter than the old one! The hotel is conveniently located with many bars, restaurants, and convenience stores nearby. Getting to the airport is also very easy!
