Singharaj Boutique Hotel

This hotel is a real gem, offering excellent value for money. Its location right next to Wat Phra Singh, within the Old City, is incredibly convenient. A major bonus is the swimming pool, which my kids absolutely loved. While the hotel might be a bit older, it's very clean overall. Definitely recommend it!

The pool is very photogenic. The room was also spotlessly clean. They even let me check in early since there was a vacant room, which was great since my flight landed super early. Thumbs up for that! The only downside is that it's on a high floor with no elevator, but that's not an issue if you don't have heavy luggage.

This is my second time staying at Sinhala, and the location is super convenient! There are so many great restaurants nearby, with many Michelin-starred establishments just around the corner. 👍

Everything about this hotel was fantastic. On our last day, we found out the women's prison massage parlor was right next to the hotel. Just a heads up, you need to book before 9 AM if you want a same-day appointment.

Okay, this is the hotel I've been most eager to review. I stayed in Jimei for three days, and this hotel truly exceeded my expectations by a long shot. First off, it was the cheapest of the three hotels I booked, but it was also the best in terms of service and environment among them. Let's talk about the environment first. They have a dedicated swimming pool that's incredibly clean, and at night, there are ambient lights. Even swimming at night felt really atmospheric. Of course, given the weather, all the pools in Jimei are a bit cold, so I think that's due to the general climate. The pool also didn't have that strong chlorine smell; I noticed it in another hotel, but here, the pool truly had no peculiar odor at all – it just felt super clean with clear water. Next, about the service. Initially, they assigned me a room on the first floor. Since my child can't handle air conditioning for long periods, I found the room a bit stuffy, so I asked to move to a third-floor room, which was much more comfortable. The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly fine for my son and me. They provided tea and coffee. I especially want to commend them for the drip coffee they provided, not instant coffee. It was delicious and I'm definitely a fan. The complimentary tea also tasted great. The room design felt like a 'sparrow small, yet complete in all its organs' – everything you need is there, despite its size. How do I put it? For just over 200 [currency, presumably local, but not specified in original for me to include], to stay in a hotel like this, compared to the other hotels I stayed at, this was by far my best experience. Also, I have to mention the Western restaurant right at the hotel entrance. The food was excellent, and while the price was a little on the higher side, it was still within an acceptable range. My son and I had a steak and a pizza for a bit over 300 [currency, again, not specified as CNY]. It's certainly more expensive than Pizza Hut in China, but the quality was genuinely good, and my son ordered their most expensive specialty steak.
