Sharon ☘️Got the chance to stay in this hotel for one night during our visit to Chiang Rai. The hotel room was very big and clean. However, the bath tub connected to the shower was a little inconvenient, especially for elderly people. We heard the hotel offers a good breakfast, but the variety of food was quite limited. On the positive side, the restaurant has a beautiful river view where you can enjoy the sunrise. One small regret is that we didn’t have the chance to try the swimming pool.

Anonymous UserMy friend and I ended a 4-day road trip from Bangkok to Chiang Rai at Le Méridien and honestly, we saved the best for last. After nights in Korat and Sukhothai, pulling into this property on the banks of the Kok River felt like a proper reward.
We had a private balcony overlooking the garden. I spent a good chunk of the morning just lying on the daybed out there, feet up, watching the trees sway.
Now the breakfast, which we almost didn’t have. We hadn’t booked breakfast but the front desk offered us a deal at check-in. We said yes without thinking too hard about it. Best spontaneous decision of the entire road trip. The restaurant, Latest Recipe, serves what I’d comfortably call the best hotel breakfast I’ve had in Southeast Asia. The centrepiece is their signature Khao Soi Gai, a rich, deeply fragrant broth made with freshly pressed coconut milk and Chiang Rai spices, topped with crispy noodles and served with pickled mustard greens, shallots and lime. I’ve had Khao Soi all the way up the north in Chiang Mai, on the road and this held its own against all of them. Alongside that came a stunning northern Thai sharing platter served on a banana leaf-lined bamboo tray, sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf, bitter melon, blanched vegetables, boiled eggs, crispy pork crackling and two house-made dips including a seriously good green chilli relish. All of this with mountain and river views through floor-to-ceiling windows and a proper cup of coffee in hand. The rest of the buffet — egg station, fresh fruit, smoothies, Western and Asian options was extensive and well executed.
Staff throughout were warm and attentive without being intrusive. The property is immaculate. Free parking was easy right in the main courtyard, a genuine bonus when you’re on a road trip.
If you’re driving through northern Thailand and ending in Chiang Rai, this is where you want to finish. And when they offer you the breakfast deal at check-in, say yes immediately. Le Méridien Chiang Rai meets my expectation.

A new hotel closed to Kok river and not too far from city. It's near blue temple. The hotel have bicycles for travel, you can ride with free. Good river view, it comfortable to stay. Very large bathroom with tub but a shower was not clean, quite dirty. You can select twin or deluxe one bedroom from application. The TV was diffucult to open , its depend on internet and signal was delayed. The electric kettle is dirty, shoule be clean completely before.I love breakfast, many menus and delicious.

Pros: Close to a community area, with restaurants, convenience stores, a market, and a beer garden all within walking distance. Easy to find, located on the main road.
Cons: The bed is extremely hard, even when I lay down on it, my knees hurt. Sleeping is painful. There are very few power outlets, only two of them are two-holes (not three-holes). There are cobwebs and spiders near the sink. The headboard has blackout curtains, no blackout curtains. It's bright at 6 a.m. The air conditioner compressor is loud and vibrates, requiring earplugs to sleep. Breakfast starts at 7 a.m. I saw a bag of sticky rice and grilled pork. I asked to take it, but the staff refused, saying I had to eat at the hotel. In short, I didn't get breakfast at the hotel because I had to leave in a hurry.

Guest UserLocation is good, quite neighborhood, halal ( Muslim) food available, laundry service near by, mosque (muslim prayer center) near by. Rooms are clean decent size but they need to add some amenities , side table with reading lamp, no chair, no water cattle, no hand towel, instead of giving paper water cup, glass for drinking water would be great. In room tea coffee would be great as the town is almost dead by 7pm.
Please also add some kind egg (boiled is easy) with breakfast.

🇬🇧I absolutely adored my stay at this charming family-run hotel! The receptionist was incredibly helpful and friendly, going out of their way to assist me . The hotel itself is beautifully decorated with wood & minimal style. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend this gem to budget-conscious travelers and anyone seeking a truly authentic local experience.

The hotel was great and so was the location, if you prefer a bit of piece and quiet. A short distance away from town which makes it easy and economical to get around. The room and bathroom were both very spacious, and there was also a balcony overlooking the pool. The breakfast was fair but on the limited side. Overall, I would stay there again and would recommend this hotel.

Guest UserI have been there for a couple of days.
Central location, clean, a huge fridge downstairs, a small kitchen for basic things (no gas for the cooker) and some fruits and coffee were available.
The only problem was noise, as a few guest were impolite, but other than that, I have been happy with my stay.

Guest UserI arrived from Chiang Mai tired and stressed. So it was nice to find the Ben Guesthouse offered a nice respite with good amenities. I appreciated the hot water pressure and cleanliness of my room. There are also some great restaurants and cafes close by.
