Central Guesthouse Chiang Rai

It's not really a hotel as we're used to; more like a hostel with private rooms. You have to climb four flights of stairs, as the elevator is only for luggage. The room itself was large, but there was no hot water from the shower. The TV didn't work. It was quite noisy outside at night, but then again, it is right in the city center. You don't get to choose your breakfast, but it was sufficient. There's a pool table downstairs. Seems more like a place for younger travelers.

The staff were incredibly kind and kept asking if I was okay. While there weren't any amenities like a water dispenser, the location was good, the price was reasonable, and most importantly, the service was excellent, so I was very satisfied. On Monday, the Wi-Fi suddenly stopped working at night, perhaps because the attached bar was closed. However, the room was clean, the shower temperature was adjustable, and there was both air conditioning and a fan, so I had a comfortable stay and was truly satisfied.

The accommodation is near the clock tower. The ground floor is a burger joint/bar, which is good because it's not too noisy at night. The room on the second floor has air conditioning, an en-suite bathroom, and three beds (female-only dorm). It's quite clean and convenient, and the price is good. It's easy to find food in the mornings, and there are many restaurants at the street corner in the evenings.

The girls' dorm is large, clean, and spacious, just like home.
