Check-in was seamless, all staff were very friendly and welcoming. The carpet in elevator was always dirty and there were definitely… bodily fluids on the velvet sofas in our room. I had to call house cleaning up to clean it up. Knocked 1 star for that. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.

Check in was efficient but unenthusiastic. Room was good. We endured a lot of noise: toilet took a long time to shut off after flushing; we were close to the elevator and had that going for us; late night revelers liked our floor. Everything decent, just not memorable. Would probably come back if the price was right.

Everything was great, however the valet was $75 per night and the bellman never touched our luggage and wouldn’t even get a bell cart for us at check in…

This is an excellent hotel in a perfect part of Chicago, the north end of Michigan Ave. with more first-class restaurants, shopping, etc., than ever before. Overall, a great hotel to enjoy in Chicago.

Excellent location.
It's a zoo...too many dogs.
Furniture in lobby is looking a bit worn. There was a strong sewer smell in parts of the hotel throughout the four days of our stay.
Very friendly staff.
The safe in the room did not work, despite a technician attending to fix it.

The staff was friendly.
I had a coughing fits in the room, upon investigation the furnace filter had a thick coat of yuck on it and appeared as of it hadn't been changed in years.
The maintenance man changed filter, we got $30 towards food and my airway improved.

We had a lovely stay. We met friends for drinks in the bar and Carlos the bartender was so kind and attentive and friendly. He is a great representative for the hotel. His kind service really helped make our stay so enjoyable!
