While the front desk associates were pleasant, the disappointment began as my grand room was not ready, prompting consideration for an upgrade to the grand chamber king suite for our wedding anniversary. Unfortunately, the delayed room was not only untidy but revealed issues like stained bathroom grout, a loose toilet handle, and a seemingly unintended accessible room with subpar shower amenities causing water leakage and potential mildew. The modern minimalist style was marred by a vanity chair with a cigarette burn, highlighting an overall lack of attention to cleanliness and detail. Although our dining experience at Miss Ricky's offered an enjoyable breakfast with classic choices, the warmth of the food upon arrival and subsequent cooling raised concerns, possibly attributed to winter conditions – a detail that shouldn't impact a venue like Miss Ricky's in Chicago. Overall, this stay fell short of expectations for a frequent guest accustomed to 4-star and above accommodations.

We had to stand in line for about 15 minutes to check in because only one person was checking people in as another person was dealing with a customer issue. We stayed in a Grand King cabin which was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was great to be able to adjust the room temperature via the smart tv. The shower was a nice size equipped with a handheld shower wand. I loved that there was a separate dressing area from the bedroom and bathroom. I enjoyed my stay. However when I went to check out and get my car, the valet service was significantly delayed with many people waiting for their cars. The staff was understanding and explained that they were short staffed. I eventually got my car after approximately 30 minutes

Would stay here again! The location can’t be beat. The staff were wonderful, super friendly and helpful. The hotel room was clean and the layout was unique - the toilet was separate from the shower, and that area closet vanity could be completely shut off from the rest of the room via a door. It made the space feel homey and let you curate the vibe. The rainfall shower made for a luxury experience, although it made a loud noise the first time. All around, would recommend! My favorite part was the valet parking in a private/secure area under the hotel - surpassed my expectations.
