From the surprise turn in the road, up tree lined drive and into this stylish small hotel, we were delighted in every aspect. Contemporary in decor and fit-out, with excellent facilities such as well designed and appointed large bathroom, beautiful relaxing garden and pool, looking over sublime Tuscan landscape, fabulous terrace restaurant. But special indeed was the hospitality and generosity of spirit of Sergio, Roberta and Maria, along with all the tireless staff. It took Sergio one second to not only help us communicate with our car rental company, on unexpected battery death, but to unflinchingly offer to,and drive us 1 hour to Perugia to collect another car… above and beyond!!

A beautiful, peaceful boutique experience. We stayed for a week in June. The room was the perfect size, comfortable and excellent bathroom. The grounds and pool were perfect to find a quiet spot to relax after a day hiking. The restaurant was delicious and convenient with enough choice we ate there 5 out of 7 nights. The staff are what make the difference, thank you Sergio, Bianca, Solare, Roberta, Poggina the cat and the chefs and cleaners. My only suggestions for improving even further, which does not impare the 5 star rating, is that there is no safe in the room which may give some travellers more comfort, and the towels and bathroom amenities are changed daily and so the hotels eco credentials could be improved.

This place was incredible. When we arrived, the front desk was very helpful and showed us around the hotel and room, but also pointed areas to explore on the stunning grounds. Similarly, the staff in the restaurant were so helpful and had good tips both for their menu and surrounding area. The room was great but the bathroom was exceptional! We loved having both a bath and shower to use after exploring Tuscany! It was a great base to use to explore from, especially as the included breakfast was so good!! While the hotel was very pretty and views were good from room, the best view was the pool. An infinity pool with the Tuscan hills was as good as it sounded! We would definitely stay again!

This was our third time at this lovely hotel, personal and comfortable. More like a home away from home. Driving through the countryside, you drive up a hill to this magnificent 150 yr old estate with an outstanding Italian restaurant. The highlight of this stay was cooking with the chef in his tiny kitchen and making an outstanding ricotta and spinach ravioli! We also made a ragu and a chicken liver pate, his style.....when I booked our stay, I asked about cooking with the chef to perfect my ravioli with some keen tips. He did not disappoint. I loved the class which was with another delightful couple, but the highlight was the translation that the general manager gave us. So much fun with all of them and what I prepared was served for dinner in the evening with my husband. This was so special. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay at your hotel.

GREAT Place to call home as you tour Montalcino, Montelpuciano, Pienza and the surrounding towns and villages. We selected what "was" called the Quadrupole Room. It was up 2 flights of "very unique extra wide circular stairs that might have been in Architectural Digest". Very happy that I lift weight, lol. Our room was very nicely appointed in a rustic theme and the bathroom was beautiful. The hotel restaurant serves up VERY GOOD food and their wine list is very nice. The entire staff was charming, always available to help suggest things to do or additional restaurants to eat at. The location is very nice and their property is private and quiet. The pool looked perfect!

Fantastic food and wonderful host. We are all vegetarian and were catered for completely by the restaurant and chef. Excellent wine from the property and lovely olive oil too Been back several times and it never disappoints. The location is also lovely and easily accessible.

Pleasant holiday. Hello or many things to improve. Unhelpful staff, some even arrogant at times. No predisposition to welcome the customer. Nice structure. Positioned well. Lovely place. I advise the cleaning ladies to be more attentive, it is not enough to clean only superficially.

Poggio Piglia is a really recommendable place to stay. Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and clean rooms with great comfort (air conditioning, nice big bathroom), great breakfast buffet (good selection, focus on local products, combination of buffet and a la carte), and a beautifully maintained complex. The pool has an incredible view, there are enough loungers available and the complex is simply very well maintained (clean, with lots of plants). The restaurant in the evening is also worth a visit, we ate very well and the price-performance ratio is good. We would love to come back!
