Reviews of Shangshangqian Female Hostel (Chongqing Jiefangbei Area/Hong Ya Dong)

It was a really nice hostel with a lot of articles available for sale, it really felt like a women's space :) one of the guests had to help me check in because I couldn't find the information about the code anywhere, the location is very convenient!

Apart from the great location, and yes some amenities/toiletries you can use, this "hotel" is clearly a joke. That is not even a hotel, it is an apartment disguised as an hotel. I was received by some girl in PJ who seemed to run the place, did not even check who I was, just told me where my room was, the code to the door and the Wifi, that's it. That did not feel professional or secure. There is no space in the rooms to leave your luggage so you just lay them on the floor in the living room/entrance/lobby of this so-called hotel. There are only 2 toilets (Chinese style) and one is combined with the shower (only 1 shower btw). It really was a bad surprise. The listing presents it as a hotel, but the reality feels like a shared apartment, almost like a squatting area. I was supposed to stay there a week, I called it off after a night. Only positive point, the beds are super comfortable.

It was okay for the price- affordable and convenient

The hotel has a fantastic location, just across the street from Hongyadong. It's incredibly convenient for finding food and sightseeing. The hotel is well-equipped, with almost everything a girl would need. The owner is very kind; because my flight was delayed and I arrived around 2 AM, the owner replied to my messages instantly and provided assistance until I finally got to my room. The emotional support was truly exceptional.

I found this hostel on Xiaohongshu (a Chinese social media platform) through a recommendation. It's currently off-season, so the price is especially cheap. The bedding is very clean (no need to put on your own). It's conveniently located just steps from a shopping district, which is also quite lively. They have everything women need, including curling irons. It's also very reassuring to be surrounded by women. Plus, there are plenty of seats, making it convenient for doing makeup and eating (I chose this hostel because of the large windows and natural light; I prefer doing my makeup in natural light). Later, I accidentally left my ID card there, and after telling the owner, they immediately found it for me and even mailed it back. I'm so grateful! I highly recommend it; it's great value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

The room was great, even though it was a six-person room. We didn't go out to play at night. The location is also great, near Hongyadong, making it very convenient for going out. The dressing table was well stocked with cosmetics and skincare products. It was really nice. They gave me a small gift during my National Day holiday. It was my first gift since arriving in Chongqing. It was a pleasant surprise.

I went out with my friends and came to this couple's place which is very close to Hongyadong. It is clean and tidy because it is run by girls.

The location is great, it's very convenient to go anywhere, the sanitation is good, there is hot water for drinking, and it's also convenient to take a shower. It's my first time experiencing a youth hostel, so I'm not sure yet! I might be more willing to try it later.

Facilities: Complete facilities Cleanliness: Clean, no odors Environment: Downstairs is the Xiaoshizi subway station, and there's a snack street, hot pot restaurants, and more. It's also close to Hongyadong and Jiefangbei, making it convenient to everything. The balcony offers a view. Service: The roommate was very friendly and quiet. Self-check-in is available, and the host patiently answered any questions.

The value for money is excellent, and the location is excellent, making it easy to get around. They even had a 2:00 PM check-out time, which was super friendly. They also provided drinking water, which was super nice 👍🏻.

The room is clean and tidy, the price/performance ratio is very high, the boss is enthusiastic, the stay is comfortable and worry-free, the room also has USB and sockets, the most important thing is the location, you can see Raffles, Hongyadong is also more than 100 meters away, very close, very convenient

The landlord is a beautiful lady, and the environment is of course well protected.

Overall, it was a good experience, and the facilities were well-suited to the needs of female users.

Poor environment, not recommended, small and cramped space... poor hygiene... bad experience.
