Chongqing Xishan Hotel (Monument to the people's Liberation Hongyadong Store)

The location is fantastic! Right outside is a subway entrance and a commercial area, making it super convenient to go anywhere. It was easy to find the hotel with navigation, and there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Check-in was very quick, and the front desk staff (the guy/lady) was incredibly friendly and even gave us a free room upgrade. So thoughtful!

This is a great hotel! It's very quiet, with excellent natural light and ventilation. The front desk staff are responsive, the price is reasonable, and there are plenty of restaurants downstairs. I highly recommend staying here. Thank you!

The river view from the room was stunning. It's also very close to the subway station and Jiefangbei.

The room was spotlessly clean! The smart home controls and giant projector screen made binging shows with friends an absolute blast. The city view was fantastic, and having the subway right outside made getting around super convenient. The front desk staff were incredibly kind and helpful; their service was top-notch! Staying here for our Chongqing trip was such great value – I've already recommended it to all my friends! 🥳

Facilities: The facilities are quite basic. The bed is really hard, and the pillows are very flat, making it quite uncomfortable. Cleanliness: The room cleanliness was okay, but the bathroom was really disappointing. It didn't look like it had been cleaned atall (pictures 2 and 3). Environment: There's no soundproofing at all. You can hear people talking next door, and every step someone takes in the hallway is perfectly clear. It's Chinese New Year, so prices go up, which I understand. But for 400 a night, I think Chongqing is a great city, but I won't be staying here again.

The location is great, just a few dozen meters from the subway exit, making it very convenient to get around. However, the soundproofing isn't the best, but it's fine as long as there's no one making noise.
