Reviews of Beiou Art Hotel (Chongqing Likely Wharf)

I am very grateful to be able to stay in the hotel's high-rise room and see the beautiful river view. At the same time, I would like to express my gratitude to the hotel's service staff.

We were very lucky to get a room high in the building with a marvelous view!

Good location, clean room, amazing view, I will stay there again for my next trip to Chongqing.

The front desk was very polite. Very helpful and accommodating when we request to change the room from courtyard view to river view (without additional charge). Location wise not really recommend for overseas tourists as it is away from tourists hotspots so need to take cab. This hotel located in one of the apartments in the residential area. Nevertheless, there are many eateries within walking distance. The room facility however is not good. Toilet and bathroom are weirdly located in our room. Bathroom is badly designed as the water would leaked out to the wooden flooring outside the bathroom. The room is facilitated with a projector but it was kind of stressful to operate it as it keeps saying the storage is full and we were constantly interrupted with all the pop up messages from the player. Front door can’t locked from inside so the front desk staff opened the door when we were in the room (a different staff came to verify whether the room was really occupied as we requested to change the room during check-in).

The hotel was clean and had a great view over the river to the city beyond. The room was huge and very spacious which made the stay relaxing

I booked a room at Beiou Art Hotel (Chongqing Liujia Wharf Branch) on the Ctrip app on September 27, 2024 for a total of 3 days from October 22 to 25. On the afternoon of the third day of our stay, we found a cockroach crawling in a bag containing towels on the floor. It ran out through a hole in the bag and I killed it. I thought it was just one, so I gave up. But when we were getting ready to go to sleep at 11pm, we found a cockroach running back and forth between the headboard and the pillow. We really couldn't stand sleeping in such an environment. We negotiated with the hotel and they refunded us the total room fee of 900 yuan for three days. We have photos and videos of cockroaches in hotels. There is a recording of the negotiation with the hotel owner. The hotel owner said that since we had already stayed for the first two days, we could only refund the money for the third day. So this cockroach is ignorant? It came out on the 3rd day? If I had known there were cockroaches, I would never have booked here again! By the way, the boss also said that cockroaches are inevitable. Who would spend 900 yuan for 3 days in a hotel with cockroaches? Girls always put their hair on the pillow before going to bed. Does anyone know if cockroaches have been running around in their hair in the past two days? And it’s an environment known to have cockroaches, and at the head of the bed? Which girl will continue to live? And I am also afraid that insects will get into my ear holes. This experience gave me a very bad feeling about the trip. I would like to add that my eyes were uncomfortable that day, so I squeezed erythromycin eye ointment in my eyes before going to bed. I was almost asleep when my husband told me not to sleep anymore because there were cockroaches at the head of the bed. But I could only close my eyes with the ointment because my vision was blurred and I had to close them. I didn't mind tossing and turning in the middle of the night. The platform contacted the hotel owner the next day, and the owner actually said that she was on vacation and did not reply to the platform until after 5 o'clock in the evening 🙄 But she was still communicating about this matter with the front desk lady at 12 o'clock that night! It's obviously procrastination! The efficiency of handling problems with this service attitude is not commendable! Or ignore hygiene issues! If you find cockroaches while staying in a hotel, according to Article 48 of the Consumer Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, this is a situation where the service does not comply with the agreement or the safety guarantee obligation is not fulfilled. I have every right to check out of the hotel and reasonably request a full refund. The hotel rejected my request, so I took various measures to protect my rights, including negotiation with the operator, complaint, and mediation.

I chose a four-star hotel when I booked the room. The price was not cheap. I had high expectations. I didn’t know who gave the rating on the platform. There was no door. It was in a residential unit. There were no bath towels, no towels, no hair dryers, and the bathroom was rudimentary. The decoration is poor and shabby, please see the pictures.

The view from this hotel to the river is really amazing. I couldn’t sleep at night. Just go downstairs and you’ll see the view of the river city without any buildings. It’s really a great experience and very cost-effective. I booked a honeymoon suite and the hotel has just been decorated and designed. Well, it is definitely the best choice to take your other half for a walk along the river. Return to the hotel and continue to eat delicious food. The endless Jialing River stretches as far as the eye can see, and the 180-degree wide-angle lens captures the most stunning night view. It’s still pretty cool🤭🤭🤭

The hotel has a good location and the room is large enough. One thing that is unacceptable is that the shower room and the room are made of glass, which is transparent and blocked by a shower curtain. I hope the hotel can change it.

Very satisfied, the service at the front desk on No. 5 is particularly good

The facilities are old, especially the bathroom. The bathroom door is shaky and I am afraid it will fall and hit me. The sanitary conditions are very average. The window cannot be closed and it is a bit noisy at night.

The small courtyard in the room is really nice, with a large courtyard balcony and plenty of space. The location is very good, only about 5 minutes away from the subway entrance, and it is convenient to go anywhere. But I don't know why the floor drain in my room has a bit of odor, and it's not a smart toilet, which is a small flaw.

There are steps inside the room. The hygiene is worrying. There are blood stains on the towels. I don't even need the kettle. The bathroom has a strong odor on rainy days. Overall, the 4 diamond rating on Ctrip is too high. 3 stars is not enough. I hope the hygiene issues can be improved.
