Yuanfen Hotel (Chongqing Furongdong Road)

Nice hotel! The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a western toilet, shampoo and shower gel sachets and the water was hot. The only thing missing was toilet paper. The location is great: literally across from the train station and only a 10 minute walk to the bus station to get the ¥10 bus to the Wulong karst visitor centre. The owner/manager was friendly and allowed me to leave my luggage in the room until my train left in the evening. For ¥10 you can turn on the airconditioning (which is very necessary in summer!) and it really cools down the room well! I recommend this hotel

Cheap stay if you’re visiting Wulong karst, and right across from the train station. Friendly owner but you’ll need to use a translation app to communicate.

The hotel is located just one street above Wulong Railway Station and is surrounded by several restaurants and convenience stores. The lady who helped me was very kind and friendly, although she doesn’t speak English. The room was spacious and clean, exactly as shown in the photos. It is a little difficult to find, though. However, you can contact the property, and she will guide you. Here are the directions: When you leave the train station and follow the directions on the map, you will reach the street above the station, right in front of a bus stop. Behind the bus stop, there is a small staircase. Take the stairs, turn right, and walk almost to the end of the hall. When you see a red sign with a phone number, turn right again. You will then see the hotel entrance, with pictures of the rooms displayed on the right side.

Location is great near the railway station, however can be difficult to find. The room is non smoking but has a very strong smell of previous smoking. For some reason ac costs extra money to use. Soap not provided so bring your own. The Owner was very nice and helpful overall

The owner was very lovely to let us leave our bags after checkout. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

We stayed one night in Wulong to visit the three natural bridges. The hotel is across from the train station and the bus station where the shuttle buses (blue buses under the station, 10 yuan) depart. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel because there was no signage in English and the entrance was at the back of the building. The reception is on the first floor. The owner was very nice and was able to give us some tips using Google Translate. We asked for a quiet room and were given one facing the back courtyard, which was very quiet. The room is large, clean, and surprisingly didn't smell of cigarettes even though people smoke in the hallway. Our room had a traditional squat toilet. Air conditioning costs an extra 10 yuan. The bed is hard, but at least you don't have to worry about a beer can tipping over if someone lies down next to you on the bed. As backpackers, we would stay there again for the price and one night, but don't expect a traditional hotel.

I arrived early and the owner was happy to allow me to check in as there was a room available. It was great as I do not need to carry my luggage up the mountain. The location is just across the train station, where I can even see the train station name from my room. Food is plenty around the area. Room is clean and comfortable. Though I must warn the bed is hard. It can also be noisy as it's along the main road. For the price and service, I will stay again if I am in the area again.
