Reviews of Colombo in the City

This motel is situated in a fantastic location and parking is a huge advantage in this area. It’s much better than other motels and while it’s a bit old it’s well maintained. Lovely lady at reception to answer your questions and help. Coin operated laundry, it’s good value for money.

excellent location and i was there earlier than check-in time and was allowed to check in! very clean place and had everything you needed. Would stay again! Highly recommended!

It’s clean, amenities are available, good place to stay, we do own cooking in the house,

It's quite close to the airport, which is why we chose it as our first stop on the South Island. It's also super convenient for finding places to eat; we found a Thai restaurant nearby, and the food was great.

Clean motel, very close to city tourist areas. Service is great - I lost my charger and the host gave me one for free!!! Thank you so much.

It was wonderful stay. The room very clean and the room service provided daily. Location is very close to the city center

Great locations short walk to and from the main areas of the city. Quiet surroundings and parking at the door front.

We added a one day stop in Christchurch to enjoy a little of the city before our flight home. So happy we did and chose this hotel to be close to walk to most places. Checking un was fast and convenient and rooms although a little old were still well kept and super comfortable. I love that New Zealand gives fresh milk for morning tea or coffee. We were lucky to get the city on a holiday so was super quiet and lots of markets and events on. Definitely recommended as a 1-2 night stay. Make sure to checkout the cool food market too.

Great location.

The room had enough cooking facilities and was clean and tidy. We are satisfied with this motel.

Really great location. Awesome hospitality. Very clean. However room was a little tired. Just small things that really wouldn't stop us from booking again. But not worth high price or 5 stars. Didn't like the bed. Pillow was awful but my partner was ok with it. Shower drain grill was broken. Bed light didn't work, cables were all messed up & had come unplugged. Just little things..

Great location and good service.

Nice room

The room is perfect. The hotel provides free parking, which is very convenient for self-driving tourists. The hotel room is very clean and comfortable, the bed and pillow are very comfortable, the bathroom has a heated towel rack, and a makeup remover cloth that is rare in New Zealand, and it is equipped with multiple chargers, which is very thoughtful. The best thing is the spa massage bathtub, the water temperature is super hot, the massage force is very strong, and it is very comfortable!
