This hotel is listed as 5-star on Ctrip, but its facilities and service are, at best, 3-star. After a 20-hour flight, I arrived at 10 AM to find my room wasn't ready. I was told I'd have to wait an hour. No room upgrade was offered, nor were any other rooms available. I was forced to simply wait! There were absolutely no 5-star hotel amenities; it felt more like an American motel. The location is decent, situated between the convention center and the Botanic Garden.

We arrived in Christchurch around 9 PM, and the young lady at the front desk gave us a very warm welcome. Checking into such a lovely hotel on our very first day in New Zealand left a truly wonderful impression.

Dining options nearby are quite a walk away, and the supermarket is also about a kilometer. The room itself, however, is decent.

We had a wonderful experience! Both the seniors and the kids were very happy, and the food was absolutely delicious.

The overall ambiance was just average. Cleanliness: The place was quite clean. Service: There wasn't much service to speak of. The most significant issue was the strict 10 AM check-out time; they'd constantly rush you if you weren't out, which was quite stressful. Facilities: The facilities were a bit dated, but generally acceptable.

The hotel was great, but Ctrip ripped me off by 200 yuan.
