The location is fantastic almost most centre of CBD. Only thing is parking charges your 19$ per night but you can choose to park on street for free at night time.

My room was not cleaned up despite me putting up a door notice for housekeeping for the day. When I returned to my room in the evening, I was told to my surprise that my booking did not include housekeeping. The website of Breakfree at Cashel mentioned housekeeping is available. I was not informed that my booking omitted this service. Furthermore, I was told to collect new towels by myself at the counter. I just don't feel the hotel is not up to the mark in this aspect.
Other things I am not quite happy about is that the room space is too small for easy packing and unpacking of my luggage but I suppose I get what I paid for, which is ok.
I have decided to move to other hotel for the rest of my journey in Christchurch for the above reasons

I booked the cheapest room, a room without windows. Although the room is small, it is clean enough and reasonably priced since it is a sleeping room only for one night and check out early the next morning. However, now that the yen is weak, the New Zealand dollar is also the highest, and it was more expensive than a Japanese business hotel.

Please check the room size carefully before making a reservation. It is narrower than you imagine. The location was good, but I was surprised because the structure and size of the room were smaller than expected. Parking was also done on the street.
