The Observatory Hotel Christchurch
4.6/555 Reviews
I don’t usually write reviews but this is such a beautiful place that I have decided to! I decided to stay one night here before travelling home back down South. After googling new places, I chose The Observatory based in the beautiful William Morris decor! It is really a stunning place to stay if you like good design and architecture. Aside from those already great things, the room was beautiful and comfortable with great colours and design elements. The sitting room or library has the most incredible selection of books that it is worth staying here for those and having a relaxing evening in reading. The artwork along the corridors and in the room is exceptional. If you are a tea or coffee drinker then you will love choice of great quality tea or coffee. If you are a product lover then you will love the freshness of the bathroom products. Last but not least, the staff are friendly and professional and offer some of the best customer service I have come across in recent years. I cannot wait to go on another trip and stay here again. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place in a magically calm area.
Small Luxury Hotels of the World - the George Christchurch

It seems that I accidentally booked the biggest room and left the front desk a little far. The last section of the road was going to climb the stairs. The waiter helped us to get a very heavy box. The kitchen facilities were all in place. Although we didn’t cook our own tea, we had a small table. Sitting on it is still very good parking is very convenient breakfast is also very delicious
The Classic Villa
4.4/566 Reviews
We felt so fortunate to have chosen the Classic Villa for our all too short stay in the beautiful and vibrant city of Christchurch. The hotel is a lovingly restored villa in the heart of historic Christchurch—a short stroll from the Botanical Garden, across the street from the heritage buildings that comprise the Arts Centre, and close to many excellent restaurants. Our room was comfortable and roomy—we loved the ornate fireplace and beautiful woodwork. And we appreciated the convenience of free off-street parking! Our hosts Steve and Jackie were kind and welcoming and treated us like family, cheerfully helping with some of our unusual requests. Breakfast was outstanding, with pain au chocolat and homemade breads, and we loved being able to wander out to the kitchen any time for a cup of tea and a cookie. Thank you Jackie and Steve! We loved every minute of our stay.

Bealey Avenue
Wow just mind blowin how great this place is. So accommodating for all the staff are lovely, room is modern except the couch definitely needs a upgrade but that's all I can fult the bathroom floor is super slippery when wet but this is a issue even in my own home. The bath is great it's huge seams bigger than other hotels and Deep which is amazing. The building next door has really bright lights that shine through the bedroom. I'll definitely be back I didn't want to leave wish this was my house because it's great. I love how there is a separate lounge to the room and this is the first time my baby has atcually stayed asleep. Well done team you have done well and I'd say this has to be the most affordable comfortable modern accommodation in chch thanks for our stay. Can't believe there are 2 tvs as well

The hotel is only 20 minutes walk from the city center and the location is very good. The rooms are on the second floor and you can see the teddy bear collected by the owner on the upper floor. The little sisters of the hotel reception service are very friendly and highly recommended.
Dyers House

We had a fabulous 6 night stay at this wonderful B & B. This wonderfully refurbished beautiful house has three rooms with their own bath and outside patio. Furnishings are luxuriess with quality linen, comfortable bed, even a heated floor in the bathroom. The views are wonderful looking down upon Christ Church. Angela puts together a quality breakfast to start each day to travel from this central location. If you have not got a car no problem as Barry will pick you up whether it is the airport, the alpine train, or wherever. Snacks and drinks are always available for you and Angela insures that you get a tasty cake or pastry for afternoon tea. What makes this place so special are the wonderful hosts, Angela and Barry! We arrived as strangers and left as friends. They did everything they could to insure that we had the best visit possible. If ever we are in Christ Church again we know where we will stay, The Dyers House.
