Nice Hotel. Friendly reception. Small seating area. No lifts. Very warm as it was cold in February. Very close to Preston Railway Station. Easy walk down. Also the main town. Easy walk. Freshly cooked breakfast. Choice of hot Breakfast meal. Cereals, yogurts, jams, orange and apple juice and Croissants. Toast with cooked breakfast. En-suite room. Comfy bed. Tea and coffee in room. More homely than larger Hotels. Bit of parking outside off main road. In City 2 Wetherspoons also walking distance. Good shopping centre.

Immediately as you approach the hotel it's clear to see the building is bright and well maintained and once you set foot into the hotel you'll receive a warm welcome ,stress free check in and handed your room keys in a cheery and professional manner. The Reception area is tastefully decorated and furnished,cosy and comfortable and everywhere looks clean,fresh and well maintained . This was my first stay here ( is) but I know it's a very well established family run business of many years and has always maintained an excellent reputation whether you're a solo traveller, or as a couple or family, on business,work or visiting the area you'll not be disappointed by choosing to stay at the Ashwood Hotel. My room was ( is) very nicely decorated and the carpet looked extremely clean and in excellent order. The bed ( I booked a single ensuite suite room) was very comfortable and the bed linen was white, clean,fresh looking and smelling likewise. Indeed the room cannot be faulted it was all spotlessly clean,well maintained and spacious. The shower room also was ( is) kept in pristine condition. Plenty of choice of tea,coffee,hot chocolate sachets and milk in the welcome tray along with a clean and modern kettle. The tv too is of a good size and the remote in perfect working order and well kept. Handy bedside locker and light with another socket beside it to charge your phone or whatever . Nice desk,mirror and chair and clean drawers to store things away in. ,white double wardrobe with proper wooden coat hangers! Also there is an excellent, very informative book put together by the owner which gives lots of useful info about Preston and other very useful details should you require any further help re: local services and businesses. In fact the book is far better than that of any hotels I've seen anywhere,or at least it matches them! quiet here no noisy guests. I've booked breakfast which I will look forward to having in the morning and I'm sure it will be excellent. I certainly made the right choice in choosing Ashwood Hotel and have no hesitation in recommending it! Only wish I'd thought of this hotel on my previous visits ! It's certainly the Hotel I'd book again when I next return to Preston. C. Grant Feb 2024 .

Would Not Hesitate to recommend Ashwood Hotel! My first stay at Ashwood Hotel and it was brilliant! Lovely,friendly welcome by the owner of this family run business; which by the way has been established with an excellent reputation for many years. The outside of the hotel was clean and well maintained and safe entry system in place. All communal areas throughout the establishment were bright and spotlessly clean all looking and smelling fresh. Tastefully decorated throughout . The room I had was warm,very clean including the carpet and paintwork and like the foyer/ reception area and the dining room was bright and tastefully decorated. My single bed was very comfortable with clean and fresh bed linen ( white) the TV was modern and of a good size in excellent working order and clean working remote. The room also had plenty of drawers,a spacious and clean white painted wardrobe in which were proper wooden hangers. There was also a full length mirror inside the wardrobe on the door and another on the wall. Very handy bedside locker which matched the table and drawers on which the TV was placed. A tub chair to sit on also. The hospitality tray had plenty of tea bags,coffee and hot chocolate sachets along with the little milk cartons,a clean and good quality kettle ,cup and saucer etc . My shower room ( en suite ) was extremely clean,like elsewhere and had a nice shower,with a modern and clean shower head. Plenty of white,clean and fresh towels and toiletries. Breakfast menu was excellent perfectly cooked or niceContinental.

Reliable hotel in the centre of Preston I have stayed here many times over the past ten years and I always get a friendly welcome from the owner who remembers me. The room is spacious and well maintained and the breakfast is cooked to order and delicious.

It was a little dated, but we got what we paid for. I'm not fussy and only stayed overnight, so it sufficed. Lovely owner.

Stayed for 2 nights in ensuite room. Basic but clean room. Plenty of storage space & was very quiet room. Breakfast was lovely. Choice of juices, cereals, fruit, yoghurt....followed by cooked option. Young girl serving breakfast (sorry do not know name) was friendly & efficient. Location great for train station and town.

Nice.....quiet.....and well looked after....very comfy bed and a good nites sleep.....asked for a fan for the room and that was no trouble.....lovely landlady.....nothing was to much to ask for.......pleasent nites rest

Wonderful hotel Very pleasant 2 night stay. Well located. Friendly host and staff. Room very nice. Excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
