Stayed here whilst we visited Winterwonderland Hotel is a great location and our room was HUGE! Very happily surprised with this. It's a small hotel with only a few rooms and located on several floors which we found a little strange but no complain

My colleague didn't even make it past reception, the staff were so awful to her, and made her feel uncomfortable and unsafe. She had to find another hotel. When I complained the hotel refused to give a refund. Please do not book here for your own safety.

Terrible service at the reception desk with no conversation just took deposit. The rooms were dirty on arrival but reception didn’t care. No shampoo or body wash in rooms. Window didn’t open. Definitely not the best place to stay and wouldn’t stay again

I definitely do not recommend it to people, their treatment of people is terrible, the sheets were dirty every time we asked for a new one, and every time we asked for clean sheets, we were jokingly scolded by the reservation staff who were duty for the night to see if it would continue like this until the end of the night. The reservation officer, who was supposed to help us while checking in, literally mobbed us and made rude sentences like you paid your money, if you don’t want to stay you can go, you will not get your money. Also, we told them that is not the way we are going to call the cops, she started to speak Russian and then told us everything we said and recorded by cams but we just asked to see a room because we do not like their way at all. It says there is an internet connection, but we had to come and buy an internet package after being deceived by a completely bad internet connection in the room. The room, which is sold as a ground floor room, is not actually on the ground floor, yes there is a window on the floor below the entrance, but all the materials of the cleaning staff are stocked in front of the window and the morning you wake up to the sounds of them having buckets and detergents. Apart from these, in these situations you have to go up three floors to reach a staff member you can complain to or get advice when you are uncomfortable because there are no telephones in the rooms. In addition to these, there is no towel concept, so instead of the set in the form of hair towel, foot towel and body towel, one big towel comes, the room is dirty, there are no slippers, and we had to lay the dirty towels on the floor and use the room like this. If this was a hostel or similar, all of these would be acceptable at one point, but this is a four-star hotel called Nox Paddington. When you enter their website, you think it's a chain, but it doesn't even pass by four stars.

Awful customer service. There was a light on in my room all night that the staff didn’t know how to turn off, and this was a main light!! (They later said it was an emergency light in case of a fire, but this was the main light, so I got no sleep!) We had no towels as they were full so ran out. They managed to find me 1 and told me I should be grateful for that! When I complained they didn’t care. I’ll never go to another Nox hotel again, and will not recommend to anyone!

Disappointing. I was in London for a hospital appointment. I arrived at the hotel and just wanted to go to bed as I felt unwell. I am from west London and know the city well. I booked this hotel as it was reasonably priced and it wasn't for a great time, just to be functional to sleep before a full day at the nearby hospital. I chose to stay in a hotel as I didn't want to bother friends when I am ill. When I arrived, I was asked for my passport. Why would I travel up the road in my home country with my passport? I was then told if I didn't produce it that I wouldn't be able to stay. I had booked in advance, giving my full name, address and payment. I was then told I might not be who I say I am. At this point, I was frustrated, and retorted that I hope my bank would intercept if that was the case as it would be fraud. This went on and on for a while. I then looked at the google reviews and realised that this place isn't about customer service or to serve the public. This is a hotel that doesn't care about its customers, what it cares about is the revenue that is generated. I began to read some of the customer reviews. The reviews were awful, and did nothing to allay my gut feeling about the place. I wish I had read them before. I was told smugly that if I scrolled down the requirement for a passport is in the small print within the email, and indeed it is. I suggested that perhaps this could be mentioned on booking and stated at the beginning of the email with confirmation, rather than being buried somewhere at the bottom in very small text. I was told that my reservation was non-refundable. Imagine telling a hotel that you are sick, in London for a hospital appointment and they are happy for you theoretically to spend the night on the street when you have paid for a room entering all the details required at the time of payment. I see from the reviews that sadly one woman did spend the night alone, in the pouring rain unable to find another hotel. I did have an electronic copy of my passport on my phone, but by the time this altercation had continued, I didn't feel happy to give it as (it was requested that I emailed it) stating that the hotel would have more information about me than my bank, or that the hospital would even require to give me massive doses of radiation. The response to this was, that perhaps the hospital should ask for passport?!!! At this point I was so exasperated, I was finally allowed to see the room. In fairness, after a narrow and steep flight of stairs - the room that I viewed looked okay. The problem was I now didn't feel safe, and was not happy to email an electronic copy of my passport. I didn't trust their handling of data after this interaction, and felt it should be enough just to view it at this stage, but this wasn't an option because it was 'a requirement of the police'. I left to think about things, I had a quick research to discover more terrible reviews and discovered that the hotel had recently caught fir

Small but clean and nicely decorated. Perfectly central to London and many places. Unfortunately had to leave early due to fire in the hotel but management were lovely and gave a full refund. Loved the shower. Bed was comfortable

BEWARE- we booked months ago for a 3 night stay, however the day before they cancelled the room due to ‘overbooking’. However there are rooms available but at a 1000% increase to what we paid! Will report to trading standards. *********** have advised this is suspicious and will be opening a complaint.
