Only stayed one night as attending a gig at the halls. This place could be SO much better with a decent refurb. Our room, no 2, was cold, decor dated, bed had sunken mattress, lumpy pillows, and a doorless cupboard in the bathroom had a dusty old curtain nailed over it. Plus points; decent kettle with plenty tea/coffee etc. The hotel sells no alcohol, and after enquiring about breakfast, were told no food either.
Its such a shame as i think this quirky hotel has so much potential.
The young Geordie lad on reception was very friendly.
