The hotel is very close to the airport, there is a shuttle bus service from the airport, there is a McDonald's nearby, and the second day after the car is returned by car, choose to stay here! The hotel is small, the room is large, there are two large beds, clean! The breakfast at the hotel is very simple, bread, boiled eggs, coffee milk, a little fruit, which is not bad for most hotels that do not include breakfast. The hotel has a small outdoor pool and the children are very happy to play and are satisfied with the overall hotel.
If we could give this outstanding property a higher review we would. Truly exceptional in every way. We knew the Latch more than 30 years ago as an outstanding fine dining restaurant. Thru a series of events this unique Samuel McClure mansion sat vacant for decades. We were so very pleased to find that new Inn Keepers, David and Michael, have gone to great efforts to restore this historic residence to its former glory. I don’t know how you would describe the attention to detail and interior decorating excellence, every where you look it speaks class and elegance while at the same time wrapping you in a warm and cozy atmosphere. It is everything you would imagine and hope for at a heritage country inn. On arrival, we received a very warm welcome from Innkeeper, David. Our guest room was elegantly appointed while remaining true to its historic grandeur. The sitting room with beautiful Christmas decorations and the fireplace going made you want to cozy up for a long stay and read a book. After a good night’s sleep we went to the beautifully set dining room. Our fabulous breakfast began with a delicious “Latch” bite muffin, we chose Eggs Benedict from a nice selection of breakfast entrees. Our breakfast arrived perfectly prepared and beautifully presented, a true gourmet treat. Our treat night out exceeded all of our expectations, we can hardly wait to return!

The hotel is located on the north side of Victoria Island. It takes only 5 minutes to drive to the beautiful small city of Sidney after getting off the ferry. The surrounding restaurants and supermarkets are well-equipped. You can walk to the beach for a meal in a few minutes. It is suitable for a leisurely vacation.
There are plenty of parking spaces, and the staff are mostly white. They are enthusiastic but not rushed. Coffee, hot chocolate, fruit, cookies, and lemonade are placed in an orderly manner. After entering the store, you feel like you are back home.
The facilities are of the standard of old Western hotels. They are not luxurious, but neat and clean.
Amazing location, right on the water front and close to the airport. We lucked out and there was a Thursday market in the evening on the street in front of us. We spent a lot of time on the waterfront picking seaglass and watching the marine life (we saw quite a few). As well, they have air conditioning, which seems to be hard to find. The staff were nice and helpful. The room was clean and had a microwave and coffee maker. A kettle would’ve been nice. Our outside door led to a cute little balcony. There is a breakfast in the morning however we will be leaving before it starts so will miss out.
We chose to stay here based on convenience and something a bit different. A bit pricey for a place w/o a pool/hot tub/or exercise room but the ambience makes up for it on this occasion. From the sight of the place inside and out and the smell inside ( like old wood with a touch of wood smoke?), you felt like you were stepping back in time or at least settling into a warm relaxing environment. The room was clean and comfortable, front desk service friendly and efficient. We faced the intersection so traffic noise was a bit loud at times ( esp if someone wanted to hammer their gas peddle to the floor ) but not over bearing. The breakfast was well rounded but for missing my whole wheat bread for toast, and in a lovely setting. Walking opportunities near the bldg were enjoyable including gorging on in season Black berries, and a short drive got you to most other amenities like Victoria/Sidney, Butchart and Butterfly Gardens, and the ferry. The in house pub offered tasty and satisfying meals at a reasonable price.
First we would go again. Had a room with a kitchenette (nicely and fully equipped .) Super comfy bed.. Yes air cond was bit noisy .. but nothing horrible.. HOT water with good pressure.. or it could have used one more table for set up with laptop, but the one in there did the trick.. Those who are giving bad reviews have clearly NEVER had a bad motel.. oh, staff was great too. enjoy!
On our Canda tour we spent a few days at Brentwood Bay Resort. We booked a Ocean Suite. The staff was really very friendly, the room mega beautiful, everything clean, the beds comfortable, especially the bathroom with the bathroom ”half in the room” really beautiful and somehow something else. We had dinner in the pub in the evening and the food was delicious :) A pool is also available. In principle, yes, but the location of this was a great disadvantage for us personally. The rooms with balconies are almost directly at the pool and are therefore visible. Everyone can look at one at the evening “sitting out” as well as scream from the restaurant. The volume is accordingly. When we were there (under the week), it was not super full and therefore durable. In full-occupied pool and well-visited pub (e.g. weekend), this will be different. We have tried to exchange the room (which was unfortunately not possible) and have actually felt something disturbed in our private life. But we have enjoyed our stay!
We recently stayed at Villa Eyrie in the Villa Aquila and had a generally enjoyable experience. The hotel has many positive aspects, such as an excellent restaurant. The room was well-appointed and comfortable. The view from the resort was amazing. However, there were a couple of issues that affected my stay. The air conditioning unit in my room was quite loud, which made it difficult to sleep at all. It would be great if this could be addressed for future guests. Additionally, I noticed that the room was not cleaned daily, which was a bit disappointing for a hotel of this standard. While the staff were quick to assist when I requested additional cleaning, it would have been more convenient if this was done routinely. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and would recommend Villa Eyrie if those concerns are addressed to enhance the guest experience.
