An improbable villa! Spacious, clean, tastefully decorated and well-equipped rooms. Our room had a large private balcony. You can enjoy another huge shared terrace with chairs and deckchairs... there is a garden with nooks and crannies, everything is clean and maintained. Go up to see the panoramic view, room stocked with books and binoculars. Breakfast is royal, outside or inside depending on the weather. Common room with kitchen and fridge. The 2 brothers who own it give advice for visiting the region. Small beaches and nearby beaches. All this 30 km from Palermo... €72.50 for 2! INCREDIBLE + easy parking on the street

After reading the last couple of reviews on Tripadvisor - I was a little hesitant about my stay at the Domina Zagarella Scilly (DZS). I hope to dispel some of the overinflated negative reviews. We were not sold the D-Club as mentioned in previous reviews and found that it had no bearing on our stay. We were not treated any different to other guests. We used all facilities apart from the D-club sunbeds which were not that great anyway, As with all my reviews, I will highlight the pros and cons. PROs - Clean and tidy facilities. - Happy, friendly staff on the whole … some were moody but they were like that towards all residents. - Well located as train station is a 5 minute drive - you will need a car if you stay at this hotel if you plan to travel or at least do your research before you arrive. - Easy access to Palermo and Cefalù by train - AC trains so enjoyable experience. - Great view of the sea. - Lots of sunbeds. CONs - The hotel is aimed at and caters for Italian tourists. - No iron - iron clothes before you come or pay the price of ironing which was 9.00 euros for a shirt. - The evening shows are in Italian and are of variable quality- they had one Whitney and Queen night which was watchable at the most. - If you request a sea view room - beware that you will have loud booming music until at least midnight as your room faces the pool. - No beach however access to the sea from the jetty. - Parking is limited on site -you are sent to park your car at a car park which has no path back to the hotel. It’s a dangerous walk back from the overflow carpark. We parked in the hotel as we insisted this was safer. - The breakfast is poor and variable in quality- don’t eat the scrambled eggs they are awful! Croissants, fruit and yogurts were great. - Fridge in room however cost of drinks was ridiculous - buy your own and store in fridge. - Pool bar good for lunch snacks and reasonably priced. - Cava restaurant good but pricey. - No one checked in on us during our stay - we could have left and they would have not known. - Entertainment staff great with kids and kids club if you have kids.
