A very good Japanese-style B&B ~ The room is large and very clean. The toilet, bathroom, and hand washing area are separated and can be used by several people at the same time. There is also a washing machine outside, and there are also laundries and convenience stores nearby. The only drawback is the location. It is relatively remote, so you have to take a bus from Kita Ikebukuro to Ikebukuro Station.

It still exists like a top hotel, and the service is still very particular. Whether it is the sheng performance in the lobby or the sake tasting, it is very cultural. The room, light settings, bed, pillows, internet, washroom and bathroom are all still as good. What cannot be corrected is the drop-off area. Due to the construction, the car cannot reach the door. Thanks to the good day I came, it was sunny. If it is windy or raining, it will be a bit troublesome. In addition, the indescribable feeling is that the service is not as good as before, and the dazzling array of snacks on the table in the rest area are gone and empty.

Check-in and room key return at out is not troublesome via post. The room is large 々2LDK, each with a double bed deployment bedroom 2 rooms. There is also a washing machine, and the bedroom is equipped with TV and air conditioning. I am glad that the bathtub and toilet are different. There is also a small kitchen and you can cook simple dishes. A large dust box is installed near the outer entrance and garbage is OK at any time. There are many supermarkets, taverns and regular restaurants nearby. It is less than 々 away from the station but within walking distance. I talked to the staff several times on the phone, but it was very polite. I had a good feeling. I will use it again in the future.

Not perfect but we loved our stay here. We had two king rooms that while small were nicely appointed, and aesthetically sufficient for our needs. I will say that if you travel with Full sized suitcases then this isn’t the place for you. Some wall hooks and a shelf would have been a nice edition but we made do with what we had available in the space. We booked two rooms, the second room was for our 14 and 11 year olds. I asked two months ahead of time for the rooms to be near each other and they placed us on separate floors, not ideal. Other families had rooms next to each other so I know it’s possible. But we made it work. The restaurant is great for breakfast and dinner and the daytime cafe/nighttime cafe was awesome as well. The location of this hotel is outstanding. Super close to shibuya dining, shopping, entertainment, and the train but in a special calm little nook. It always felt great to return . I will say that you’re kind of on your own here. Checkin/out was completed on a kiosk and while there are always people in the “lobby” I was never actually sure who worked there. Checkout/in time can be pretty chaotic as it seems most people store their luggage In The lobby. But none of this would stop me from staying there again. This was our first time in Tokyo and having now been around the city I’m glad we chose Shibuya to stay in. Definitely glad I didnt pick a place in shinjuku!

First of all, I was surprised at the atmosphere that was completely different from the image from the appearance of the building which was baptized without cleanliness in the whole hotel. Especially, the very filthy system of putting the message from the front desk on the floor under the room door was difficult to withstand. I went to look forward to having a drink at the front desk, but I stopped seeing the number of message cards placed on the floor on the way to get 々 and I felt bad. Even if a drink was prepared with the hand that exchanged the filthy card. The room felt narrower than the plain rice of the display, and it was actually quite different from the stylish interior like the photograph. The room was not clean, the furniture, the wall, the bathroom, all of which were clean, especially the cloth under the bed was long and very filthy. The table is small and there is no space to put things properly. When you open the door with the refrigerator, the door of the safe comes to you, so you have to open the refrigerator while pressing it. The hand washing of the washbasin is also important to look? It was very hard to use to fly up there. Only the bathtub was large and beautiful. The business hotel of 10000 yen per night was the top.

We were very impressed by the Aloft Hotel in Ginza. Check-in and check-out were smooth and the three rooms which our party stayed in were fantastic. Whoever designed the rooms should be congratulated as they offered lots of useful additions that we haven’t noticed before. For example, the magnetic bedside shelf (no more phones or iPads falling off), the hot steam iron, the fabric spray (and plenty of coat hangers), a superb shower area and the modern Toto toilet. The daily breakfast in the Warehouse was first class too! The rooms were far better than we were expecting and all the staff that we spoke to were friendly and helpful. The hotel was an easy walk from the Higashi Ginza metro (underground) station which was a relief as our party of 6 had lots of suitcases between us. And it was just a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the Imperial Palace grounds. Five star all round!!!

We were looking for a close to the action hotel as this was our first time in Shibuya and did not know this part of Tokyo. The service from the Granbell team was accommodating. We had to do a room change, and they were understanding, as well as a late night bed refresh as we were surprised with a stain on the mattress/sheets. The front desk agent who helped with the bed refresh was so nice, and apologetic of the situation. The rooms are out-dated and could use some touchups(scratches on the floors/walls, dust on the fans, etc.). We stayed in the ”suite” top floor(1303) and it still needed some TLC. The rooms provided nice toiletries. We did not eat at the second floor restaurant(wagyu teppanyaki) or the first floor restaurant, but both looked fairly good even for foodies. Location is really great, close to scramble, other restaurants and shopping. The neighborhood is on the more quiet side of the crossing and Im glad we stayed over here(would recommend this neighborhood again). The super close yakatori's aren't great and may tell no to foreigners. I would recommend this hotel for solo travelers, stag/hen parties or young couples who are looking truly just for a place to crash after a long day sight seeing/going out.

Stayed in the Corner King room with view of Tokyo tower and it was worth every penny. The views were incredible, including Mount Fuji on clear days. Bed was huge and room was spotless. The hotel itself is very stylish and the staff were extremely polite and helpful. The location is very good. The hotel is just above Shiodome St. which is very convenient for getting to Odaiba in particular. For access to the JR lines, Shimbashi St. is only a few minutes walk. The area directly around the hotel is quiet, but if you're looking for more eateries, bars etc., there's plenty around Shimbashi St. Will definitely stay in this hotel again and highly recommend.

Better to Know Before Visiting Tokyo

  • Language and communication: While many people in Tokyo speak some English, it is helpful to learn a few basic Japanese phrases before your visit. Some useful phrases include "arigatou" (thank you), "sumimasen" (excuse me), and "eigo o hanasemasu ka?" (do you speak English?).
  • Transportation: Tokyo has an extensive and efficient public transportation system, including trains, subways, and buses. • Etiquette and customs: Japanese culture places a strong emphasis on politeness and respect. When visiting temples and shrines, be sure to follow the posted rules and observe proper etiquette, such as removing your shoes and not taking photos in certain areas.
  • Weather and clothing: Tokyo experiences four distinct seasons, with hot and humid summers and cold winters. Be sure to check the weather forecast before your trip and pack appropriate clothing. It is also a good idea to bring comfortable shoes, as you will likely be doing a lot of walking while exploring the city.

Narita International Airport (NRT) is the primary international gateway to the city. It is connected to Tokyo via the Narita Express train, Skyliner train, buses, and taxis.

Closer to the city center, Haneda Airport(HND) primarily serves domestic flights but also handles some international routes. It is connected to central Tokyo via the Tokyo Monorail, Keikyu Line, buses, and taxis.

What to Eat in Tokyo

  • Sushi: Visit a sushi bar or a conveyor belt sushi restaurant to try various types of sushi, such as nigiri, maki, and sashimi.
  • Ramen: Tokyo is famous for its ramen, a noodle soup dish with various toppings like pork, egg, and vegetables. Try different regional styles, such as tonkotsu, shoyu, and miso ramen.
  • Tempura: Deep-fried seafood and vegetables in a light, crispy batter. You can find tempura at specialized restaurants or as part of a set meal at many eateries.
  • Yakitori: Grilled chicken skewers seasoned with salt or a sweet and savory sauce. Yakitori can be found at izakayas (Japanese pubs) and street food stalls.
  • Tsukemen: Cold ramen noodles served with a separate dipping sauce. This dish is especially popular during the hot summer months.
  • Monjayaki: A savory pancake made with a mixture of cabbage, meat, seafood, and a runny batter. Monjayaki is a specialty of the Tsukishima district in Tokyo.

GGuest UserShiba Park Hotel is a beautiful, clean, quiet, elegant, fairly priced, stylish & cozy place. The rooms are large enough and the bathroom is modern, with all the amenities. In the room there is a safe, a large TV, comfortable sleepers and 2 brown cotton robes to wear when relaxing. We recommend to stay in this hotel to any tourist visiting the city, as it’s close to Daimon subway station and to many other attractions (Tokyo tower and Zojo-ji temple). Nice service, although the receptionists are a little slow. At floor 4 there’s a self service laundry (washer, drier and ironing board) that you can use with just 400 yens, at floor 8 there’s a water dispenser, and at floor 5 you can find a vending machine with cold water, sodas and beer! You can drink unlimited free coffee and tea at the main floor, and there’s a full restaurant at the entrance.

CChengPerfect location for shopping with major malls located with 10mins walk. The hygiene of the street outside the hotel is below expectation but that’s not what the hotel is responsible for. Type C port next to the bed makes charging convenient. The self laundry service costs 600 yen for 2-hour washing and drying without the need to bring detergent. Another convenient service is the drinking fountain on each floor with the choice of iced, room temperature and hot water.

I was impressed with the modern amenities and thoughtful details in the hotel room. What's more worth mentioning is that the hotel's waiters always maintained smiles and enthusiasm, which made me feel more cordial and warm. Ppraty-pp👍 good. And recommended. The hotel is perfectly located right next to the Akihabara Station. 🚉 the location is great not just for the connectivity but also shopping - Yodibashi Akiba for all electronics. There’s UniQlo, GU, and a lot of restaurants nearby. Typical of Japanese hotels, the room sizes are quite small. It’s difficult to open two luggage at the same time. 😢 The room was clean, bathroom good as well. Bathtub 🛁 is good 👍.

DdyhxNot my first time staying here and as usual, they don't accord complimentary early check in, even when they have availability. They are truly a 3* that's pretending to be 4* but charging rates of a 5*. Paying through the roof just for the location. The rooms are dated and small, yet having paid over SGD340 per night for a single room (1 super single bed), and the entire room came with just 1 powerpoint socket. I'm further disappointed that having stayed here almost annually for 5 years in a row pre-covid, they've never bothered to track my preferences and I really dread a room far away from the lifts where I have to drag my heavy luggage through carpeted flooring and dragging my feet after a long day of walking. Goes to show how much they value repeated guests. The front desk staff have lost their smiles except for the 2 younger ones managing the luggage storage. The staff on the day I checked out were a little friendlier but yes, don't expect complimentary late check out either. Room is also only made up upon request, if you fail to place the magnet on your door before 12nn, it'll not be cleaned.

GGuest UserThe hotel uses self-service check-in. This time, we have two adults and a one-and-a-half-year-old baby. The room looks very big in the photo, but it would be a bit awkward to put two suitcases in. This time, I was more disappointed when I entered the room. I found that the cleaning was not very clean, there was a lot of hair from the previous tenant, and there was dust on the refrigerator. The towels provided by the hotel have a strong smell of bleach, so it is recommended to bring your own towels. The location is about 15 minutes from the station. The only good thing is that the eel rice next door is delicious.

Tokyo Tower

Sshurongggwent to Tokyo for three times, always take a photo with it without missing 🥰 different angles and also different places to catch the tower.

Akihabara Electric Town

游侠半仙This has been a must-visit place for Chinese tour groups for many years. I came here to check in during my free trip to Japan in April 2015. I have visited Japan many times since then, but I have never been here. This time I came here to eat and just check in.

Sensō-ji

SSan_183senso ji is just around 100m from Asakusa station. A lot of people went there for praying and photographing. the vibe there is lively and lovely! there are a lot of foods, souvenirs and shops around, I enjoyed my time over there~

Ikebukuro

游侠半仙Because I came back from Xincangshan, I didn't make an appointment with Ikebukuro in advance to eat at the restaurant where Ikebukuro wanted to eat. Check in Ikebukuro Station, Ikebukuro commercial district, shopping, McDonald's drink, rest.

Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden

Sskycielo8autumn in tokyo gyouen near in aoyama japan verry beautiful day and night the difference Reasons to Recommend:nature view

Nihonbashi

游侠半仙Check in at Japan's National Important Asset (equivalent to China's National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit). The design of Nihonbashi Bridge adopts the concept of eclecticism between Japanese and Western styles, whether in terms of materials or the carvings on the bridge. The highlight is the Kirin at the bridge head. [Scenery] The landmark of the center of Tokyo, Japan. [Fun] Learn about Japanese culture. [Cost-effectiveness] High, free tour.

Imperial Palace

MMartin DimoskiIt’s a bit disappointing that you can’t explore the palace itself except during special events like the Emperor’s birthday or New Year’s Greeting. However, the surrounding area, including the East Gardens and the moat, is still worth visiting. Make sure to stop by the information center for maps and tips. But still mostly of the park is closed for visitors.

Tokyo Skytree

AAnonymous UserThe feeling of climbing up and looking far into the distance is really great. You will have different feelings at different time periods. The Tokyo Skytree should be the tallest building in Japan. Especially at night, watching the brilliant lights of the entire Tokyo and experiencing the modernization of this city is also a visual enjoyment.

Ueno Park

Zzinnia_615Ueno Zoo, isn't this where Xiangxiang used to be? When I entered the zoo, I thought there weren't many people there. The guide said that the queue would only take about 10 minutes. But when I turned the corner to the panda house where the twins were, there were so many people. There was a sign that said the queue would take 40 minutes. But the queue moved very quickly (after all, a group of people can only see the pandas for one minute). The two little ones were so cute! They had just finished their meal, so they were very lively!!! After seeing the little one, I went to see the big one. They were both eating seriously! I have to say that the Japanese people's love for giant pandas is really not a lie! The scene was very quiet, and I could only hear the sound of the camera G!

Shinbashi

RRita MashiroShinbashi is a junction of every subway line and has some amazing artworks in the station. It is great to have a look and enjoy the special characteristics of Japan.
