After a bunch of kind gestahouses it seemed to be too serious. The area is a little strange, lots of homeless. , but walked even at night, it was okay. Overall quiet, but if someone in the corridor starts talking then noisy, staff better behave quietly, especially in the morning

This is a small hotel that amazes me, an old villa remodeled. I am looking at the delicious Japanese restaurant in the Trip.com user reviews. I decisively chose to stay because Sri Lanka is very tired. The best choice is that there are delicious foods near the hotel. I don't need to charter a car to return to the hotel and go out to find food. Stayed for a few days, the hotel itself was opened by the Japanese, the management was very good, the staff was very high, polite, punctual, and helped me return the hand left in the restaurant to the room. The passport cash inside was complete. There are not so many choices of Japanese food, but the quality is very good! The hotel is spotless, it is recommended to install an exhaust fan in the toilet, and a self-service laundry room is perfect.

The location is a bit biased, there is a foodcity, the room is still good, there is a small refrigerator, the facilities are very new, the bath and the toilet are separate, good. It’s just that the soundproofing of the hotels in Sri Lanka is not good. There is always a sound at night, I don’t know if it is the sound of the train. An email from Ctrip is required at check-in. Stayed for one night, only for future reference!

Very clean hotel, and ideal location right by the sea and central to a variety of restaurants and shops. Staff in particular are the nicest bunch, very polite and go out their way to be super accommodating, loved it so much stayed here twice - highly recommend!

The hotel is not big, just like domestic boutique hotels. It is very clean and tidy. The junior suite I booked was very comfortable and the bathroom was oversized! The front desk brother is very good and always smiles! Location is also good, walking distance from Colombo Museum!

Maniumpathy was recommended to me as a nice place to go for lunch and I wasn't disappointed. The venue is a large beautiful mansion which is beautifully furnished. The staff were engaging and very accommodating. The dining area on this occasion was located in the rear outdoor area. We were undercover and had a great view over the centre courtyard/garde/pool area. The menu options were varied and the meal tasty. Desert was also delicious. I only wish I was staying there two as it is an entirely charming place!

Nice hotel, staff really helpful (e.g. one lent me their personal umbrella during the heavy rain), rooms clean and large, bbc on TV, large laptop compatible safe in wardrobe, and a curry house literally behind the hotel 50ft down an alley. Location central. COVID precautions are in place but not an issue, good to see Sri Lanka reopening up to the world.

The room is clean and specious for 3 of us and the lacking only no toothbrush provided, only 2 towels instead we paid for 3 persons. Breakfast was ok only the noodles is not properly cooked as it is still hard to chewed😅. (Still room for improvement) The main highlights was the service we received from the bellboy Mangala. He is very helpful, approachable and always smiling. Others then that it is easy to get the public transportation i.e. tuk tuk and car. Definitely we will be coming back again. Thank you

This property is gorgeous with the old world charm and the food and cocktails are amazing too . But above all, they ace in hospitality. The staff , right from GM to everyone else are so warm, courteous and helpful and they go out of their way to make you feel at home and comfortable.I had a ligament tear in my ankle while in Srilanka and be it GM Mr. Siddique , Mr. Emmanuel, the bell boy Mr. Sujith, and the rest of the staff , they were all so supportive and caring that I was totally moved by the way they took care of me. Strongly recommend this place with its beautiful people to all and I will surely be staying here again when I visit Srilanka

First of all, the hotel is historical, suitable for taking pictures, and the pool is good. Now talking about the disadvantages, the power supply in the room is very unreasonable, you need to use a large plug-in board (provided by the hotel), the bedding is too old, the bed is a bit collapsed, and it will ring when it turns over! And the most unbearable are crows and mosquitoes! Too many mosquitoes. I was awakened in the middle of the night and asked for mosquito coils at the front desk. Eating breakfast is more scary. Sitting in the house is too dim. Sitting outside and biting mosquitoes to coax the crow! Hurry up for breakfast and each person was bitten by five or six bales! Still sprayed with insect repellent! The crow fell on the back of his chair twice! Experience the worst breakfast ever! The hotel restaurant and lounge are very beautiful, it is recommended to have a drink and take a picture, not recommended if staying
