The highlight of this hotel is the incredible staff including the front desk, valets, restaurant staff, and room attendants. Exceptional customer service on all fronts and very welcoming. Love the new decor and the historical pictures of Buffalo throughout the hotel. The lobby decor is beautiful and provides a wonderful relaxing atmosphere. My only complaint is that I thought breakfast was pricy at $25. The dinner menu at the restaurant is reasonably priced and totally enjoyed dinner and dessert. I also loved the warm decor of the room.
The hotel is located in the center of Buffalo, very close to the Civic Center. The hotel is decorated in a classic style. I booked a suite, not including breakfast. The western restaurant on the first floor of the hotel can be ordered by myself. The room is very large, with kitchen, living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, very much like it! The hotel service is good, the front desk is very welcoming and can store luggage.
I am sure that, at some point, this hotel was first class. Unfortunately, it appears that something has allowed them to lose sight of the small things that make the difference between what they WERE, and what they ARE. First impressions were very good: historic architecture, classy music in the lobby and elevator, very helpful front desk. But then, then the shine started to fade. It took over an hour to get ice delivered to the room. The “smart shower” did not work and we needed to move to a room with a working shower. 75% of the menu items that we ordered at restaurant were different than, as described on the menu. The public hot springs area (just outside our window) was filled with people playing load music until after 11PM. (Even though they have a sign stating no music allowed.) It is too bad that skimping on the small things shines a poor light on the employees who are trying to do the best that they can.

We stayed here September 28 as part of our Niagara bus tour. I wish we knew that the hotel was next to a TGIF. IWe could have had a late dinner here instead of the overpriced food court where our tour bus took us. The room was fairly comfortable although we had to ask for additional towels as they only supplied us with two when we are a party of four. It is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but our room reeked of cigarette smoke. As with most hotels during this pandemic, they have done away with items that could be a potential health hazard like drinking glasses and tiny soap bars. They instead have those bottled soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers. Unfortunately our conditioner dispenser did not work. I was excited to find a Kcup single brewer in the room but alas that too did not work. The HIE offered a warm breakfast of freshly prepared mini pancakes, egg and cheese omelet, sausage. One can opt for a healthy fare of yogurt and fruit. Understandably they only had bananas and apples as an option. I am writing this to keep the management aware and accountable for the safety issue I reported to the front desk. The door of room 303 requires brute force to open. One has to literally kick the door in to open from outside. My brother and nephew had to pull the door open to let us out. Obviously this is a quick fix but certainly one that should not be delayed or ignored. I hope management will take note of this report.
The male staff in the evening shift is very friendly, very patient, always smiling, and the service is very good! It rained outside and I also borrowed an umbrella for me. The room was great,
my room was on the top floor, there was a balcony in the room and the bed was very comfortable!
The location is very good, just in the city center, to various attractions, shopping and shopping, the surrounding restaurants are very convenient, it should be the best hotel I have ever stayed on this trip!
If you have the chance to go to Berlin again, you have to choose this hotel!
Stayed here on March 16th. We were in town to attend the Journey concert. At approximately 5:30am, the fire alarm went off. It was a loud screeching alarm. We were advised over an intercom to evacuate the property. It was rainy and cold and we waited outside for over an hour. We were finally advised to go back to our rooms. After getting back to sleep, we were again awakened by the smoke alarm at 10:00am. We weren't going to go stand outside again, so we gathered our belongings and left the hotel. I sent an email to Marriott customer service asking for a partial refund or some Marriott points for our inconvenience. As of this date (March 29th), I have not heard back from them. I've been a Marriott customer for many years. Very disappointed in their poor customer service!
A very good hotel, like the feeling of home, super warm, good service, very intimate, the hotel specializes in the car you want to go, the charge, but not high.
A last minute find and it was amazing!! Very welcoming staff and clean spacious rooms!! We had a 7th room floor and when we opened the drapes in the morning we realized it was actually a Lake view! We got in late so had no clue about the gorgeous views of the Lake and City! Beds were comfy! Big shower! Breakfast was a bit busy and hectic but the staff did their best at trying to keep up and there were many delicious options! Starbucks attached to the front the of the Hotel! Pool area looked nice! Clean and safe neighborhood! Only 30mins from Niagara Falls!!

The Hotel Lafayette has been welcoming guests for over 119 years and continues to be a historical and architectural landmark for the City of Buffalo. A handsome red brick and white terra cotta French Renaissance-style building it was designed principally by Louise Blanchard Bethune of the respected Buffalo architectural firm of Bethune Bethune and Fuchs. She was the first professional woman architect in the country the first female member of the American Institute of Architects and the first woman to be made a Fellow of the A.I.A.The Hotel Lafayette opened its doors in June 1904 and was immediately hailed as one of the fifteen finest hotels in the United States. With hot and cold running water in all bathrooms and telephones in all rooms the seven-story hotel offered the best that science art and experience can offer for the comfort of the traveling public. Soon after an addition doubled the size of the hotel and fifty years later it was still operating as a luxury 400 room hotel. The hotel underwent a major renovation in the late 1940s introducing many of the Art Deco elements still seen throughout the hotel today.Following decades of hospitality the hotel was faithfully restored in 2012 to return it to its original splendor and welcome a new generation of guests. The Hotel Lafayette is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and currently offers a total of 34 boutique guest rooms each with a unique design and experience. In addition the Hotel offers over 13500 square feet of event space including many original spaces that have been meticulously restored.

GGuest UserA friend insisted I stay at the Westin on my trip to see family in NY. My first trip last week in many years. My friend was right it was very nice. The hotel was quiet but that was okay. It added to my peaceful stay. I had a nice room on a higher floor the people at the desk were very helpful. I will go back again… Food was good too.
GGuest UserWe enjoyed our time at this hotel. Despite being very full on a holiday weekend, our room was almost completely silent and the upgraded suite we had was enormous with all kinds of useful space, especially in the bathroom which even with a giant tub, a separate shower and 2 sinks, still had a TON of open space. Parking was very convenient and not too expensive. We didn't try the breakfast or pool/hot tub but everything appeared to be working well.

GGuest UserWhen they upgrade you, they do it in a big way. We had a spacious suite which was clean, quiet and comfortable. The gentleman at the front desk made a great recommendation for dinner (Pearl St. Brewing Co) that was just a short walk. I was concerned when we first arrived about panhandlers in the area but didn’t see any when we went to dinner.
GGuest UserWe booked this hotel specifically because of their relationship with Roswell,Park Cancer Center. They offer a special rate for families and patients. They are flexible with reservations as anything can change in the world of cancer treatment. Sebastian, the shuttle driver was kind in leading us to parking at Roswell and then driving us to Anchor Bar where we ate our first night. The bed is the most comfortable one we have slept in when staying in a hotel, While the restaurant remains closed and breakfast is limited we were even surprised that breakfast was included. Lots of restaurants in walking distance and shuttle is available.
FFeixiangdexiaoyezhuRich breakfast, American simple meal, suitable for sleeping in from 7 to 10 o'clock
Great location, five minutes' taxi ride to anywhere
Walk to Baffulo Convention Center for 15-20 minutes and buy a cup of coffee on the way back to calm your stomach.
The front desk is very welcoming. Thank you very much for their kindness and help.
Just walk to the center. No need to waste time by taking a subway. Take a taxi and arrive 5 minutes in advance.
You may need to find a parking space when driving. Few people drive🚗
Many people go to see the Great Falls, which is really close to Canada.

Good experience in the hotel itself. However, I was blown away by the service I received from Phil Johnson, during the dinner on the night of November 4, 2023. He went out of his way to accommodate my dietary preferences, when there was no other option for me. He told me that the vegan dish that he made for me was his first attempt, and it was delicious. While I might be biased, I can say it looked way more appetizing than what the other guests were served! My hats off to Mr. Johnson, who also wouldn't accept a tip from me, instead advising me to leave a positive review for the benefit of the entire establishment. On top of all of this, he kept checking in on me, asking me about my dietary restrictions, and did this all because all of the chefs/cooks had gone home, leaving him to fend for himself. Imagine being so dedicated to your craft and your employer, that you sacrifice your own time and decline a monetary tip just to serve the clientele. I was absolutely blown away by this experience, and I do hope for the best for Mr. Phil Johnson.
Llove is blueIf you like Art Deco, definitely worth going from a high-rise or political perspective. Especially free (noon but need a ticket check) to see what metal is underneath the seat in the Parliament hall. The only downside is the lack of female MPs.
乐乐天的静Come on, buffalo. Of course someone has this vision and the necessity to reborn this sleeping beauty. It's a gorgeous building and I worry about it longevity if it can't be done soon. Take the old Denver station as an example. This is the place in Denver recently! The only difference is that the Buffalo station is more beautiful!
Llove is blueHistory lovers will enjoy this "museum" with so much to see. Enjoy everything that is offered here. You can spend a whole day there, but spend at least2-3 hours walking around the museum, looking at boats and submarines, looking at historical artifacts, photos, military vehicles, uniforms, etc. I found it very charming and worth the time to go. There is also a small restaurant/bar in the museum with a beautiful lake view. Highly recommended! Children of all ages will love it!
LLavender and SunChicago has a lot of repetition and incomplete categories. Pittsburgh's creativity, combining plants with painting art and butterflies, is not rich in the variety of plants. Pittsburgh won in the orchid garden, and this one in Buffalo won in the desert cactus hall.
