Castle Oaks House Hotel

The room is very big and the bed is comfortable. However, the room seem very old. The bathroom does not work well. The room does not have hair dryer

My room was not cleaned during my 3 night stay. When I checked in I asked about the tennis courts and the receptionist just shrugged and said they were not in use. I ordered soup at the bar but was told I'd have to go downstairs to drink it. When I checked out, there was nobody at the reception desk. I waited 10 minutes and then just left the key on the desk. This hotel could do with some proper management as it is falling apart and the staff are badly trained.

Best pint of Guinness in limerick, credit to Josephine for all her hard work looking after the bar and restaurant. Nothing is ever an issue and she cannot do enough to help.

There were a lot of us finished paint works esp on the coridor & no mention of it from staff.i looked very dirty looking due to this High dusting needs attention in room 109 a lot of dust in wardrobe Food very basic Hotel looks abit run down and in need of a good refurbish Bed was comfortable

We arrived late to hotel (having informed them of this). Night porter checked us in and simply took payment and gave me the room key. No directions to room. No mention of breakfast. No small talk about our trip. No mention of check out times. I had to go back and check these things. A waiter came to give out that two people came to sit down when the kitchen was closed as I was talking. We went to the room -honeymoon suite. Floorboards are incredibly creaky. The bathroom is incredibly dirty. Lights above mirror were like something from horror movie. The jacuzzi bath has broken plastic all around it. We turned on jets before we got in and it filled with dirt. There are no plugs beside the bed to charge phone etc and room while I'm sure was once a fine room is massively outdated and needs renovating. Chair has stains on it and the wardrobe has a musty smell so we couldn't hang up our clothes. We enquired the next morning about a late check out and the receptionist did offer an extra hour but we decided not to. When we went to check out she was too busy chatting with another worker to ask us anything or discuss our stay. The breakfast was good to be fair (but the glasses for the juices were filthy) and the woman at front of house there was lovely. The only positive in the whole stay. We massively overpaid for an incredibly poor experience. Avoid

Lovely hotel to stay in we were allocated a suite which was huge with an ensuite could do with a little shelf in the shower unit to hold the toiletories instead of them on the floor of the shower the only downside we had was that there was no Electric Car Chargers on site the staff in the bar were excellent and very pleasant Keep Up The Good Work

Lovely hotel with excellent service from all your friendly staff - the newly refurbished rooms were a great surprise - just gorgeous The leisure club was clean and bright and again friendly staff You might just need to check the shower in room 114 as it was struggling but a small issue in what was a very enjoyable stay Would definitely recommend your hotel

Beautiful location , very friendly staff. Evening meal perfect. Room well presented. Breakfast no points. One young man trying his best. Sat for 25 minutes , had to grab menus, the self service was bare , asked 3 times for refills never happened. Tea was vile , think water was off. Full irish arrived 45 minutes later , freezing cold and my wife ordered omelette but it had heavy amount of garlic , which was not on menu , she has allergy to garlic. Advised reception on leaving , note was taken . Please work on breakfast , would love to come back , great location.

Superb high-ceilinged, elegant mansion with delightful public rooms. En-suite bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The hotel lawns go down to the river Shannon. A pleasant amble. The staff are courteous, helpful and efficient. I will definitely return.
