Dromoland Castle

This is definitely a five star hotel. From check in to check out everything about our stay was perfect. We had a room facing Queen Anne Ct. that had a door to the court yard from the room. It was more of a suite than a room, a large room with a wall dividing the sitting area from the sleeping area. Everything was super clean and the attention to detail from housekeeping was exceptional. They even replaced any used towels with fresh ones in the evenings for turn down service. Every evening there was a small gift on the bed - chocolates, spa samples, a sleep kit with eye mask and ear plugs and one evening there were self heating eye masks that were so soothing. The bed was firm and the sheets so soft for the best sleep. The grounds are beautiful as is the interior of the castle. Breakfast was really good and the service in the dining room was the best. Pancakes and French toast!!! Sooo good! Morning views at breakfast just added to the ambiance. Everyone and I mean everyone went out of their way to accommodate what ever we wanted, always with a smile and genuine interest. They spoiled and pampered us and have left us dreaming of Dromoland. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Stayed here with my 1&4yr old boys & husband. A magical weekend! From the minute we arrived we were treated amazingly. The staff members are all so friendly. The men working at the front were so nice. Especially to our boys! The room was perfect. Loads of space , comfy beds. Our son loved his own mini robe, slippers and toiletries- that was a lovely touch. Breakfast each morning was great. So much choice! All the food was delicious and the night we got room service the service was so quick. Meal arrived in 25 mins or less and when we rang to collect the finished plates 2 staff members arrived within 3 minutes! Dinner in the fig tree was delicious. We did the horse and carriage ride and falconry! Both were brilliant. We learned all about the history of Dromoland and all about the hawks and owls. Our 4 year old got to hold a small hawk and owl and it made his day. We will definitely be back again, the next time I hope I have time to try the spa.

Luxurious and comfortable, Dromoland is worth an extended visit. Other than the spa, our visit was perfect. The food was amazing, the grounds are gorgeous, and the activities are worth the time (especially the Hawk Walk)!

This is one of the best places I ever stayed in all my years of traveling. It is very much a premier experience. The castle is beautifully maintained and the staff are the most hospitable of anywhere I have stayed. I had several meals here, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner and at both restaurants, and I have to say the food was superb and an experience unto itself. I highly recommend the eggs Benedict for breakfast and the lamb at least once. The bar truly elevates what a craft cocktail can be. They also have an extensive menu of spirits. Although I didn’t participate in any of the activities, several individuals in my group did and they all had a wonderful time, whether it was falconing, archery, hiking, or golfing. I would highly recommend staying here.

From the moment you drive through the gates you know you are in a special place ! , the magnificent setting , a lovely welcome from Tom in Concierge and Grace in reception they are genuinely warm and very welcoming not forgetting Mike and of course John who happen to have the weekend off .. Hello to John , A very special mention for Noreen Fetton who allocated us the same luxurious and super comfortable room as requested - thanks Noreen . Dinner in the Earl of Thomand - impeccable service and attention to detail and the food WOW ! We were looked after by the most friendliest and attentive Denis, Dermot, Ian the sommelier and a lovely waitress , there obvious love and passion for their work truly set a world class standard . The following evening in the Gallery looked after by the super Luvish , Nelson and Alex - thank you to all three . Breakfast is fit for a KING ! , love the way everyone helps out in the diningroom , it is not too many hotels that you see the GM helping to clear tables, a great sign of a hotel ! Would also like to give a special mention to Ronan he always goes out of his way to make sure we are well looked after thank you Ronan , first time meeting Darragh and what a sociable lovely gentleman as well . Other staff to mention is Tara , Rommon Marivs and Karina. All staff here comes across warm hearted and natural and have time to have a chat and the passion for their work shows, this truly set a world class standard . As gorgeous as everything is here , its the staff that really makes the visit . THERE ARE HOTELS AND THEN THERE IS DROMOLAND CASTLE - A MAGICAL EXPERIENCE had by all four of us. We will be back .

Myself and 3 friends stayed here for one evening and we immediately regretted not booking two evenings. From the moment we arrived we were greeted by the amazing staff and helped to our rooms. I had asked prior if they could put a little something in the room for my 2 friends celebrating their 30th birthdays and they went above and beyond. I am not sure I can put into words how amazing the dinner was that we had at the Earl of Thomond. We did the tasting menu with the wine pairing and we simply cannot stop talking about it. The sommelier was excellent and everyone we interacted with was so lovely. The shower was beyond amazing and we genuinely never wanted to leave. Hoping to be back in the future! (this time for more than one night to take advantage of all of the amazing amenities and activities)

A beautiful atmosphere and grounds hosted by equally wonderful people. The shower in the room is amazing. Great water pressure and comfy robes. Chocolates, biscuits and bottled water every evening with turn down service. A lovely perfume sampler in the room. Dinner in the main dining was worth it. Again, friendly wonderful service. Sophisticated but not pretentious. The Hawk Walk was a great experience. A highlight for us. Lots of interaction with the birds and great information about them.

Go to Dromoland Castle Hotel! The staff from start to finish was amazing, the grounds are beautiful and the facility itself, an opulent treasure! We did a castles tour of Ireland and this was our favorite stop!

From the Happy Anniversary treats, gift and the warm way our daughters were treated, to The Earl of Thurmond dinner experience, the lovely bar and kind service, to the five star breakfast, to our awesome falconry experience, Dromoland was a vacation highlight. And it will be a lifetime vacation highlight I’m sure. Thank you, it was the best.
