Maz and Alan were great hosts. We enjoyed our stay in their cottage. Maz served various exotic fruits each morning. The location was great with walking distance to the beach and restaurants. We're would highly recommend!

Maz and Alan’s place is exactly as advertised, even better than the picture. We were so fortunate to stay at the tropical paradise over the weekend. They made us feel at home. We enjoyed the stories, and the most highly were the tropical breakfast, Maz put extra effort to add different varieties. I have tried something I never had in my life, they were so delicious. The B&B is so close to beach, you can just unpack and relax. Maz is so knowledgeable, she shared some local travel advice with us. We will be back again!

We had 3 nights at Alan & Mazs BnB for our finishing stay in the Cairns area. Totally the best BnB experience we have had in Australia. The accommodation room was very well setup and comfortable. The fruit selection breakfast was delicious and expanding of the taste senses The relaxing facilities were peaceful and refreshing. And the conversations and advice for day trips from Maz and Alan, spot on. A delightful, interesting and well catered for BnB, in easy travelling distance to the Cairns area tourist destinations.

Just a little relaxing paradise. Beautiful personalised breakfast and gorgeous heated open pool. Lush well maintained garden with relaxing private pockets to read a book. The room was very well presented and comfortable, with plenty of thoughtful surprises. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We loved it and we will be back if we return to the area.

A delightful bed and breaky where Maz takes hosting to the next level We stayed in a cottage for one night snd decided to come back for two more this week We stayed in the cottage which is delightful Everything you need is there to self cater if you want Lovely linen and towels An amazing breakfast made with passion with lots of interesting tropical fruits and cereals snd home made yoghurt and fruits and yummy baked goods The pool is surrounded by tropical gardens It’s an easy walk to palm cove where there are some yummy restaurants to choose from Highly recommended

We loved staying with Maz & Alan. We had a truly authentic tropical Australian experience. Their place is just off a lovely quiet beautiful beach, their garden is a tropical oasis with a pool and the breakfast tropical fresh fruit tasting platter could only happen in Queensland. The King Room is in a separate apartment from the main house so was very private, it had a simple kitchen for easy food preparation and the bed was really comfortable. Maz & Alan were delightful. We felt looked after and hosted, yet given plenty of space. We would definitely recommend spending a few days here. Thanks for everything. We may see you in Wellington some time .

An absolute gem in all aspects. Maz and Alan, who made us so welcome, provided all the information and help we required, including weather information so that we wouldn’t miss out on a visit to the Great Barrier Reef! The studio flat was very comfortable, had a well equipped kitchenette and private patio with BBQ. The beautiful garden, pool and gazebo added to the perfect holiday accommodation. Breakfast of tropical fruits, homemade yogurt and baked goods irresistible (I don’t normally have breakfast)!

After travelling the east coast of Australia in a camper van for over 4 weeks, we enjoyed 4 nights in Maz and Alan Searle's BnB. Our host picked us up in Cairns and we arrived in paradise! Our cottage was perfectly furnished, nothing was missing: a fully equipped kitchenette with fridge and microwave, a super comfortable bed and a beautiful bathroom invited us to stay overnight. There was also a wonderful terrace with BBQ. It's less than 100m to the beach. Maz and Alan's hospitality and warmth are unbeatable. In the morning there was an exceptional, delicious breakfast with tropical fruit, yoghurt and cereals. The BBQ together was one of many highlights. Our excursions and some of the restaurant visits together were perfectly organised by the two of them. If we ever find ourselves back in Australia: the South Pacific BnB will definitely be there again. Thanks Maz and Alan (keep on chilling)!
