The Station Hotel

Had a lovely night away at The Station for a birthday treat. The room was fabulous and the breakfast over the road was ace. Made to feel very welcome by the two hosts who were simply amazing. We stayed in the ‘Cosy Double’ room and they weren’t kidding, certainly bijou but immaculate with everything we needed! Wouldn’t recommend you book this room if you are over 5’8” as one side of the bed is nestled under a sloping roof! I slept on that side of the bed as I’m just under 5 ft and l still banged my head when l got out of bed 😂😂 The bed was very comfy and the en suite was ok with a walk in shower, not the most powerful but it did the trick for a quick shower in the morning!👍 Couldn’t get our heads around the fact we had to have breakfast at the cafe across the road as the lounge served food downstairs ( very nice too)! Perhaps it isn’t feasible to pay staff to come in for a few paying guests! We weren’t able to get breakfast until 10am, so not very good if you need to get away in a hurry! This hotel is definitely not mobility friendly as there were several flights of stairs to the rooms and even more dangerous was the external fire escape steps that you had to use if you were late back( we were back at 11.20pm) and also had to use these in the morning as the pub was locked up🤦🏻‍♀️ Would we stay here again, probably not but the food was great …. I had the fish and chips and hubby had a steak ! Hopefully just an oversight but we were overcharged by £3 on the food bill, we questioned it and got it refunded!!

The staff where incredible and on point. I couldn't ask for more. Rooms where cosy and very clean and tidy. The beds are ridiculously comfy. Check in and out is smooth and welcoming couldn't ask for better. The food is amazing and the option of breakfast is brilliant. Would come again and definitely recommend

Lovely and warm in the room the radiators were blasting out, the shower had lovely pressure and the water was hot. The bed was very comfortable and at night even through it's in the centre of Clitheroe it's quiet at night and I slept really well.

Lovely and clean room, with all basic necessities. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, always available if needed. Overall great stay and would definitely stay again without hesitation. Would be nice to have the option of breakfast...

Bedrooms after complaining 3 or 4 times that there was no heating on in the bedrooms even after complaining they said they would sort it but never did if i wanted a cold room i would have bought a tent

My new favourite place to eat out with family and friends. Soon as we entered we were warmly welcomed by the young men behind the bar, who were both attentive and efficient throughout our visit. There is a lovely atmosphere with plenty of tables and some comfy sofas. Food is the main reason we will keep going back. The kids and myself had cheese burgers and one had mac and cheese. The burgers were the best I’ve had. Homemade and delicious. Thank you to the staff for making our Evening 😊

Booked the station for my hen meal last night and we did the bottomless brunch. Just want to say thank you so much for a fantastic night. They were always there to make sure we had a drink in our hand unlike other bottomless brunches we have done and the food was fantastic. Amazing service and thank you very much again.

I wanted to love The Station as it's just reopened, round the corner from where we live and the conversation I had about vegan options before we visited was excellent. When we arrived the guy behind the bar knew about it and so we ordered a vegan burger and a vegan flatbread with vegetables on top. Unfortunately the flatbread came with cheese on so they had to remake it and I think with rushing they undercooked it so the veggies weren't cooked. The burger was dry and needed some vegan mayo, sliced tomato or some vegan cheese or even some houmous. I put loads of salt on the flatbread but it was really bland (they did knock this off the bill but they did try to charge us for the drinks which we'd already paid for when we arrived). The salt and pepper loaded fries were ace though and you could eat a ton of those. Very disappointed as we love to support independents.
