What can I say? I was looking for an affordable and chill spot in Santa Teresa - Mal Paìs on a little surfing trip and I found Star Mountain. The setting is jungle perfection with lush flora and fauna, the swimming pool is clean and refreshing. The room was super clean and the staff were very pleasant. I followed the advice about needing a 4X4 and am happy I did because the place really is tucked in the jungle and it’s a tiny adventure getting there, which I loved! 5 stars ⭐️

I adored Star Mountain! Super silent, private and peaceful. Amazing pool surrounded by the most beautiful jungle. Nice and comfortable rooms, and super reasonable prices. Perfect if you are looking to get away from loud streets and relax in a quiet ambience. Lovely staff.

I absolutely loved my stay from start to finish. Prices were reasonable, and I expected decent customer service for the money, but I was joyfully surprised at receiving top-tier service that one normally can only expect at overpriced establishments. The location is great and the lodging itself was spacious, comfortable, and clean. As my headline says, I am definitely coming back.

Best vacation time with my husband fully recommended. Amazing views mountain and beach. Excellent Wifi signal which allow you to work while enjoying sounds of nature. Horseback riding tours available.

Points positifs: Accueil très sympathique de Naomi, emplacement du lodge incroyable (attention que nous cherchions à être isolé et nous avons été servi, il faut remonter une piste de deux kilomètres et traverser deux rivières pour y arriver mais en 4x4, ça se fait sans souci), propriété gigantesque et splendide et domaine de nombreux capucins et singes hurleurs, très belle piscine, excellent petit-déjeuner, personnel (Samuel et la dame du petit-déjeuner) agréable, chambre spacieuse (nous étions dans la casita c'est à dire la plus grande), wifi impeccable Point d'amélioration: Peu de choses mais un point pour moi à améliorer: donner un accès à la cuisine car comme dit dans le positif, le logement est très isolé et devoir rentrer de nuit des restaurants (trèèèès cher) de Malpais ou Santa Teresa pourrait ne pas plaire à tout le monde. Hors, actuellement, on a accès à un micro-onde (mais il n'existe pas de plat préparé dans le super du village).
