As I had a graduation ceremony, this hotel was perfect because it had a great location. Just a few minutes walking to the campus of the University of Essex. The room was spotless and very comfortable, so I had a nice sleep.

The location of the hotel is easy to find and the environment is also good. The little brother at the front desk was very enthusiastic. When I found that the room could not be opened, he immediately called someone to help me solve the problem. The breakfast packaged by the hotel is self-service and you can eat very full. Next to it is Egypt University, only five minutes away from the hotel, adjacent to the national forest park, the air is fresh and pleasant.

We only spent one night, but would happily have stayed for more! The reception in the hotel smelt lovely and we were greeted by friendly reception staff. The room felt luxurious and it was very spacious. The bed was a good size too. The setting was quite unique - as you drive pretty much onto the university of Essex campus, but you’re far enough away from everything for it to be quiet. We enjoyed a little winter walk around the lake before we left…I’m sure it’d be lovely to go further in summer, but it was a bit muddy!
Overall, we had a great stay & will keep it on our list to return again.
