Mercure is a top-level hotel. Everything looks like the pictures. The hotel staff is extremely nice, polite and competent. A large selection at breakfast, everything delicious and fresh. I recommend it for a business trip.

There is air conditioning in Germany, which is a lifesaver in the hot summer... The front desk is very friendly and the facilities are not dragging down the four-star rating. The location is very good, the city center is convenient for transportation, and there are all kinds of supermarkets around. Five-star recommendation, I don't know why Google's rating is so low... It's far from the station and the city center, but it was nice to stay there for a cheap price. The bathroom is relatively spacious and has tissues.

Very good location. Two stops from the main station. The hotel is in a side street that is quiet despite the bars and cafes. The facilities are very old-fashioned, but perfectly adequate for a 2-3 day trip if you don't need luxury. The bed was OK. It could have been a bit bigger. However, the pillows were not very comfortable despite the extra pillows. The air conditioning worked perfectly.

A good hotel near Cologne Cathedral. It is behind the main road and not easy to find. The room is a little old. Pros: Most of the breakfast items are BIO, which is probably their specialty. Close to the inner city shopping center, eating and shopping are all within walking distance.

The breakfast was very good, the coffee was a bit thin, the rooms were well equipped.
