Quality Inn South Colorado Springs
4/5100 Reviews
The good: staff was helpful and efficient and friendly. Lobby & breakfast area seemed newly remodeled? Breakfast on Saturday was good and well stocked. Plenty of TV channels. Great water pressure in the shower. AC worked good. Well located off the highway and near shopping. The bad: it’s a non-smoking hotel but every where was a faint scent of cigarette smoke. The mattress was horribly uncomfortable. Worst I’ve slept on in a long time. There was some cigarette burn marks on the comforter. Couch had several big stains. Bath tub drained very slowly, so while taking a shower you were standing in ankle deep water. Shelf in bathroom seemed to be barely attached. TV was smaller than most hotel rooms. There was a grab bar in the shower that was mounted exactly where you stand so every time you moved you bumped into it. Breakfast on Friday was “grab and go” with just a couple of options to grab from. The hotel sits near a busy road and there was some road noise. We’d give it 2.5 out of 5 if that was an option. We probably would not stay there again.

Based on price and star ratings, one of the better deals in Colorado Springs. Clean, nice staff, nice pool, close to a lot of things along a highway running north. A short drive over to I-25 so not too far off the path. Only problem was missing a tub drain plug, and you have to request room service if you stay multiple days. Would stay here again.
Quality Inn & Suites Garden of the Gods

The hotel is just OK. Not bad, not great. We had out 2 kids and 2 dogs, and were on a month-long roadie, so it fit the bill pricewise. The room had been updated not too long ago (but not too recent either). Location is excellent for visiting Garden of the Gods. And as I mentioned, they do allow dogs. Right next door to a Chik-Fil-A as well as a Family diner-style restaurant. One incident that kind of irked me I will share: it was late and I had some work to finish while my family was going to bed so I headed to the lobby. On my way over, there was a guy smoking right next to the door and my room was right next to the door as well, so his smoke outside wafted into my room (not cool), so I let the mgr know and she huffed like it was a big deal for her to stop what she was doing, but she did go talk to him. Then she comes back and the TV in the lobby is blaring some reality TV show where people argue and yell at each other, so I asked her politely, since nobody else was in the lobby, if she would turn down the volume SOME; her response (not joking) ”Yeah, Im watching that.” and then it dawned on her that maybe that wasnt waht she should have said, again huffed and said ”...but I can.” and then muted it. Was pretty shocked that she would tell a customer that, but again, not exactly Ritz Carlton White-Glove treatment expectations here. Other than that, the stay was fine. Breakfast was fine. Internet worked well. Beds were fairly comfortable. Room was large. Would likely stay here again.
