So, we were wanting to come to Columbus for a night and usually stay downtown. The weekend we chose, most of the hotels were either sold out or ridiculously overpriced, even more than usual. After googling distance and such from hotels to where i wanted to be, i came across the airport Embassy Suites. I was nervous about airport hotels that are so close to the airport, (noise factor),but the pictures looked great, and it would be a short uber ride downtown. I have to say from check in, the nightly reception, the restaurant, every staff member we encountered was AMAZING! The staff was helpful w/o being bothersome. The main area was impressive and CLEAN. I picked my room online before arrival, but had to check in the old fashion was because at some point when i arrived, the hilton honors app had crashed and i couldnt use my digital key. It did start to work shortly after that, and all was well for the rest of the trip. The room was HUGE for hotels. A nice "living space", a comfortable bedroom, and a very nicely sized bathroom. We loved it so much here, we will be staying at the airport instead of downtown on future trips now! Cons: if i was going to complain about anything this trip, the complaints were minimal and clearly not enough to keep me from staying here again. I stayed on the 4th floor, and our ice machine wasn't working on the weekend i was here. our shower (room 405), the door didnt stay closed, and water would get on the floor. The light above the door when you walk in was out. (but there was more than enough other lights in the room) overall, we loved it here and will definitely be back!!!
