Iberostar Bahía de Palma

This is the second Iberostar we have stayed in and it seems to be a chain that really cares about the customer experience. The Bahia De Palma is a fabulous hotel in a great location, a few steps to the beach but only 15-20 minutes by bus into Palma. We found the whole team incredibly friendly and professional plus the place is spotless. There is a wide selection of food and the hotel is very happy to cater for dietary requirements (I’m vegan). The only down side being there so early in the season is that the pools were chilly however the complementary pool side cocktails more than made up for it (there is an amazing roof terrace with infinity pool as well as the main and several small spa pools). We will definitely stay again sometime soon 😎

We thought we must write a review about this hotel, as we stay in many hotels and this one was exceptional. Where do I start. Location is fantastic, just across from the beach. Very clean hotel in all areas. And where do we start with the staff ?? Everyone was amazing from the cleaners to the manager. Nothing was a problem .We would liked to have had a kettle in the room but did not ask .If we had asked a kettle would have been provided we later found out. We would especially like to thank Silvia, Vanessa, Chrysoula and the Manager Luis who went out of there way to look after us. Complementary drinks by the pool was another nice touch. Our only complaint was that we did not stay any longer than we did, but rest assured we will be returning. Thankyou Diane and Gary Loates.

We just checked out from the hotel. The hotel is indeed more than a four-star Iberostar. The service is excellent and the room is clean. The sea view premium room at the 7th floor is highly recommended. It has a paromatic view over the sea from the highest floor. It is also far from the elevator, so it is ensured with quietness. They offer dinner buffet with a different theme everyday. The breakfast offers all you can imagine. I especially enjoyed the warm greetings from all staffs (literally from the reception, bar, restaurant, housekeeping to technical staff) We came for our babymoon. The hotel was very sweet to give our unborn a little gift. I was asked how I felt and how my baby felt everyday. The hotel shows a high standard of the hospitality and Spanish passion. Majorca has always been my favorite destination for a short or long trip. We will definitely come back after the baby is born.

There were 6 of us who stayed at this lovely hotel. I chose this as close to the beach and have stayed at another Iberostar hotel in Tenerife so went with a brand we had been impressed with before. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were half board for our stay and even our fussy eaters found something for breakfast and dinner every evening. Some lovely places to eat outside which we did for lunch some days. We used the pool area for sunbathing every day and sometimes the rooftop pool also had a visit. Always found a sunbed around the pool no matter what time we arrived at the pool. Sometimes we were out in the morning and came back to sit outside by the pool in the afternoon. One of our party used the gym a few times during the week and although basic was happy with what was there for him. We never stayed on the beach but did walk across the road for a dip in the sea most days before heading back to our sunbed at the pool. The rooms were clean and bright and had all that you needed for your stay. I had booked us double rooms with full sea view. We found the Origin bar a nice place to head to after dinner, which was part of the hotel and was above the Origin Restaurant. The Cosmopolitan bar seemed to always be closed of an evening so assume this was the new spot for the evening entertainment for the hotel. We found all the evenings we were at the bar that the entertainment was great and a good selection of music genres. The only downside to this hotel was the lifts, 3 lifts one that could hold just 2 people it seemed and only one lift that took you to the rooftop. The lifts were kept very busy and could be quite a wait and only found out from another guest that you needed your room card to swipe inside the lift to get to the rooftop. Our first visit up there was a fluke as someone up on the roof had called the lift so we hadn't realised at the time we needed the key. Luckily we were on the 3rd floor and most times I walked up and down the stairs.

Stayed at the beautiful bahia de palma mallorca for our 10 year anniversary. The place was beautiful, clean, staff were friendly and helpful, food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend. They had a lovely bar attached with entertainment in the evening. The whole hotel was immaculate.

We had an amazing 5 night stay at this hotel. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, it was spotless & the food especially the breakfast was so delicious. They catered so well with my gluten & dairy intolerances. It was right on the beach but it was so expensive to pay for the sun beds & an umbrella every day. The local bars & restaurants were lovely & friendly too. We came home 🏡 feeling well rested & the scales showed it too!! Can’t wait to go back

As a group of 6 ladies this hotel has been great. The moment we walked in we was greeted by welcoming staff, with a glass of fizz & wet towels to refresh our hands & face (really nice touch). The hotel was constantly getting cleaned, it was always clean and always smelt fresh. Staff where always accommodating & helpful, they helped us with recommendations of restaurants helped us book places, ordered us taxis. They really went above & beyond. The pool is lovely. The roof top pool is amazing it was always full the first few days we went up but we managed to get beds on the last day. The bar staff served us around the pool, which is great. Honestly think this hotel is great. If you turn left out of the Hotel there’s plenty of nightlife & restaurants (not many English) the bus to Palma came every 10 min for €2, or a taxi to palma was €25. The beach is a stone throw away from the hotel, even tho we didn’t use the beach it looked lovely.

Where do I start. Firstly, we arrived at the hotel and the lady on reception told us our room wasn’t ready, but if we upgraded to a top floor suite it would normally €100 per night but we could have a special offer of €70 per night for 7 nights for the week, and the room was available now (we paid extra for a sea view room with Jet2, but they’re all facing the sea) she was more interested in trying to upswell a room than informing us about the hotel facilities , ie restaurants, towel hire, spa facilities, so we had to find out this information ourselves over the next few days . We declined the room, they told us they would ring us when our room was ready. We arrived at 11am at the hotel but had to wait until 3pm for our room, even though we saw people arriving after us being shown to their rooms. The hotel is very biased to German customers, the resort is too. We weren’t treated the same as the German clientele. Some customers had much better treatment, reserving tables in the restaurant, taking food away from the restaurant, they were treated like royalty. My husband and I felt very uncomfortable by the other guests because they would look at stare and obviously talk about us and we were made to feel very uncomfortable. On the plus side, some of the staff were excellent. We loved Grace. She was professional, extremely friendly and made us feel special whether in the dining room or around the pool. Not sure this hotel is for British clientele. We won’t be returning.

Really nice hotel, spotless clean rooms if a tad small. Lovely staff, from the room cleaners to the bar staff. Great variety of delicious foods for breakfast. Directly across the street from the beach and lots of bars and restaurants close by. Lots of lovely amenities onsite and a nice big pool with plenty of sun beds. The only negative is that the hotel don’t uphold their rules of removing towels “holding” sun loungers if left there unattended. Every morning without exception the best of the sun loungers had towels on them from as early as 07:30, and usually these loungers didn’t become occupied until around noon.
