Resort Cordial Santa Águeda & Perchel Beach Club

Very nice welcomeing place to stay for holiday. Giving veration of how you want to spend time. Nice clean apartment with every day service.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon, and were able to access our duplex apartment straight away. We are family of 5 - Mum, Dad? 18 year old Daughter, 14 son and 5 year old son. I had read the reviews before going and found certain points really helpful. Firstly, we hired a car from Cicar prior to arrival, this was a breeze dropped off with a child seat the day after arrival to the hotel and collected from the Hotel 8 days later, we just left the keys with the hotel staff to hand over. Driving in Gran Canaria was amazing, it’s so easy as all areas on the coast are reached my 2 major roads. I would highly suggest a car as it works out so much cheaper than taxi’s. It cost us £195 for 8 days, so much cheaper than the uk to hire and fill up with fuel. We loved exploring all the different beaches. Ok so the hotel is in a semi remote location, but this is what we wanted I could not stay in places like Puerto Rico it’s too busy for us. We really liked the WhatsApp messaging service for both the hotel and beach club. So rather than heading over to the beach club for it to open at 11am, I used to message and ask them to let me know when there were 4 single beds available and head over then. We really enjoyed the hotel infinity pool though, there were beds available every day, but 1 which was a Saturday. This I feel is down to the fact that hotel guests have to pay for the beach club beds at the weekends (at a 50% discount) . I did book ahead for the weekends, but ended up cancelling as we opted for a beach day instead. The spar shop on site is great. Took us a few days to realise that the pizzas in the huge fridge can be cooked in the spars oven for you. The coffee and ice cream shop based within the spar are lovely and responsibly priced too ( really missing these now we are home) The hotels surrounding area gets busy at the weekends with campervans. I read a few reviews were people had noted these people as travellers, as someone who was a van in the uk it is clear that this area is a huge pull for surfers, who turn up for the weekend. It’s really lovely to watch the families turn up and surf together. There is a lovely walk to the front of the hotel by the sea, as you look at the sea head to the right. You will come to a small car park, head across this and head into the little town centre there is a beautiful restaurant called La mar Salada the food is beautiful and the cheesecake is the best we have ever tasted!! There are some lovely bars and restaurants in that area. There is also a lovely natural pool and beach bar. I know there has also been reviews about the cement factory. Yes it’s there but I actually appreciated the way the the hotel and beach club embraced their designs texture to give “ a nod” to the factory, and the more I looked at the architecture of it altogether the more I really began to like that it was there. We had a wonderful family holiday at Santa Águeda. We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a private pool - it was amazing. Children were practically living in the pool. The hotel staff was friendly and the premises are tidy and clean-lined. Rooms are modern and airy. Some minus points from the fact you have to pay for sunbeds on weekends at the Perchel beach club. Also, if there hadn’t been the private pool, the hotel ”infinity pool” area would have bored the kids quite fast. The walking route to Arguineguin wasn’t very nice, but it’s worth going because there are many good restaurants in the village.

This resort is absolutely beautiful. The place is spotless and the staff are all so lovely. Every room has a TV with Netflix prime and YouTube ect. WiFi is very good in the rooms and the kitchen has everything you need except an oven but that didn't bother us. Beds are very comfy Rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels everyday if beds needed changed you just have to ask the cleaners and it's no problem to them,Monica is a wee gem. Dishwasher tablets and wash pods are supplied also which is great The hotel is abit out of the way from all the hustle n bustle but you can get a bus or taxi into neighbouring towns like Puerto Rico ect and some lovely wee food spots down at the sea front. Spar onsite is great for all your needs and have a lovely wee deli and crepe station which is delicious. They're is also a hyperdino supermarket 10mins walk from the hotel Pools are great and lifeguard at them at all times and plenty of sunbeds to do everyone. There is an infinity pool and baby pool on the rooftop of the classic apartments and over at the beach club which is stunning has a large infinity pool, a splash park, a small park and 2 big chess boards. Food n drinks there are beautiful. I will defo return to this resort.
